The Atlanta Hawks look to extend their winning streak to five games when they hit the road to take on the Atlantic Division leading Philadelphia 76ers.
The Atlanta Hawks hit the road on Friday for a matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers in a matchup of division leaders. The Sixers are 10-4 and leading the NBA's Atlantic division while the Hawks have won four straight to improve to 11-4 and are on top of the Southeastern division.
Joe Johnson and Josh Smith have been key during Atlanta's four game winning streak without the injured Al Horford. Johnson scored 24 points in Wednesday's 92-89 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
"Everybody really made a conscious effort to step their play up," Johnson said. "There's an understanding that without Al, we're missing a big piece of what we do here. Everybody has really focused in a lot more and really stepped their game up."
Philadelphia will be trying to rebound from Wednesday's 108-104 overtime loss to the Denver Nuggets. The loss was the Sixers first at home this season.
