Atlanta's Tracy McGrady voiced his displeasure over his playing time following Saturday's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Atlanta Hawks forward Tracy McGrady voiced his displeasure with his playing time after Saturday's 97-77 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
"I'm tired of this [bleep]," McGrady said. "You can put that in the paper, I don't give a [bleep]."
McGrady played just over four minutes in Saturday's game in Portland just two days after he sat out against the Phoenix Suns because of the back-to-back situation. McGrady says that he made the call in the Suns game but clearly wasn't happy with the situation on Saturday night.
"If you don't feel I can help, come tell me that," McGrady said. "He ain't told me nothing. I just want to help these guys win, man, which I know I can. But, damn, four minutes?"
McGrady also told the AJC's Michael Cunningham that he had approached Hawks coach Larry Drew in the past about the situation but didn't plan to do so again. He stopped short of asking for a trade but the situation is clearly not over.
McGrady has played in 26 games for the Hawks this season while averaging 17.5 minutes. He is averaging 6.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
