PHOENIX, AZ - FEBRUARY 15: Willie Green #33 and Josh Smith #5 of the Atlanta Hawks celebrate after Green hit a three point shot against the Phoenix Suns during the NBA game at US Airways Center on February 15, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Hawks are ending a five-game road game swing when they face the Bulls and Knicks before coming home to face the Magic.
The Atlanta Hawks have been struggling on their current road trip by losing two of their last three, and the road trip only gets tougher as the finish off their five-game road trip. The next two games are against the Chicago Bulls, who have the second best record in the Eastern Conference and against Jeremy Lin and the surging Knicks. The final game this week is back at home against the Orlando Magic, who happen to be one-half game ahead of the Hawks for second place in the Southeast Division and are in the coveted fourth spot in the Eastern Conference.
None of these three games will be easy, and the Hawks can not afford to stay on their cold streak if they want to have an outside shot of the division title or home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Also, it would be good for the team to not be on a losing streak heading into the All-Star break.
