The Atlanta Hawks wrapped up their long six game road trip with a 96-82 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday night. Atlanta finishes 2-4 on the trip and are still in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
With only 10 healthy players available after Tuesday night's overtime loss in Denver, the Hawks came out with tired legs and that was apparent with some early turnovers. Atlanta did fight back in this game a number of times but couldn't overcome the Clippers' 10-20 shooting from long range while also playing them even in rebounding.
Joe Johnson scored 19 points to lead the Hawks and also dished out five assists. Josh Smith added 18 points while Zaza Pachulia logged another double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jeff Teague added 10 points and five assists but was just 3-11 from the field.
Mo Williams came off the bench for the Clippers to score 25 points. Eric Bledsoe added 14 more off the bench while Chris Paul and Caron Butler scored 13 each. Paul had a game-high nine assists. Blake Griffin finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Atlanta is off on Thursday and will be back at Philips Arena on Friday for a matchup with the Washington Wizards. It will be their first home game since March 3.

Atlanta Hawks forward Marvin Williams was injured when he fell to the floor hard on a dunk attempt. The end result was a hip flexor that will officially keep him out of Wednesday's game versus the Los Angeles Clippers.
Marvin Williams is presumed to be out as well with a sore hip. at least that was the story last night.

With Williams presumed out of action, look for the old small forwards to step into the starting lineup. Tracy McGrady or Jerry Stackhouse are the ideal candidates, but look for Jannero Pargo and Ivan Johnson to get increased playing time as many of the Hawks players are dealing with injuries.
