Hawks Vs. Bucks Final Score: Atlanta Has Big Fourth Quarter To Beat Milwaukee, 99-94

The second quarter was not kind for the Atlanta Hawks as they were ran out of the gym by the Milwaukee Bucks by scoring only 12 points, and went into the half trailing by 12 points. The third quarter was a little better as the Hawks played right with the Bucks, but the fourth quarter is when the Hawks turned it on and came back to win 99-94. In the fourth quarter the Hawks exploded for 34 points and held the Bucks to only 18 points.

As the Hawks crawled back in this game in the fourth quarter it was Jannero Pargo who led the way by scoring all of his 11 points in the final frame, and it was Vladimir Radmanovic who made the go-ahead three-pointer with 11.9 seconds remaining in the game to put the Hawks up for good.

The Hawks were led by Josh Smith who had a monster game with 24 points, 19 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. The rest of the Hawks scoring was spread out with eight other players scoring at least seven points. All of this was done without Joe Johnson who sat out the game due to tendinitis bothering his left knee.

Hawks Vs. Bucks Halftime Score: Atlanta Trails Milwaukee, 51-39

Missing Joe Johnson is really hurting the Atlanta Hawks Friday night as they are trailing the Milwaukee Bucks 51-39 at the half. Josh Smith is doing his part for the Hawks as he is leading the team with 13 points, 12 rebounds and four assists; however, the rest of the team is struggling. As a team the Hawks are shooting 37 percent and that includes Smith who is 5-of-10 at the break.

Turnovers are also an issues for the Hawks as they have turned the ball over 16 times which has led to more scoring chances for the Bucks. Leading the way for the Bucks is Brandon Jennings who has 14 points and is 3-of-4 from three-point range, and Drew Gooden also has 14 points. Overall, the Bucks offense is doing much better than the Hawks and are shooting 47 percent from the field.

For the Hawks to come back they need to reverse their play from the second quarter where they only scored 12 points and were outscored 26-12.

Joe Johnson Injury: Atlanta Hawks To Play Against Bucks Without Best Player

The Atlanta Hawks will be without their best player Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks. According to a report from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Joe Johnson will not play tonight due to tendinitis in his left knee. Johnson scored a team-high 18 points in 38 minutes in Thursday's loss to the Golden State Warriors, but said he felt discomfort late in the game.

"After the Golden State game, Joe doesn't feel like his knee is 100 percent and he did experience a little discomfort, particularly in the second half," Hawks coach Larry Drew said. "We made the decision to hold him out until that knee gets stronger, until he feels like he is closer to 100 percent."

The Hawks still have to approach tonight's home game as a must-win in this weekend stretch. The Oklahoma City Thunder come into Philips Arena on Saturday and that's before the Hawks hit the road to face Indiana and Miami, two of the Eastern Conference's strongest teams.

Friday's game starts at 7:30 p.m.
