As Josh Smith trade rumors swirl, the Atlanta Hawks continue their road trip with a stop in Detroit to take on the Pistons.
The Atlanta Hawks will wrap up the eastern portion of their six-game road trip Friday night in Detroit against the Pistons. Atlanta is 1-1 on the trip with a win in Indiana on Tuesday and an 89-86 loss to the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
The Hawks probably didn't enjoy their off day on Thursday as they were rocked with reports that Josh Smith had issued a trade demand and that he wants to be moved before next week's trade deadline. Whether the Hawks decide to move Smith or not before the deadline, his future with the franchise is in serious doubt. Smith has carried the Hawks of late and finished with 23 points to again lead the team on Wednesday night.
After a slow start, the Pistons have won nine of their last 15 games including an 88-85 win over the Lakers on Tuesday.
