The Atlanta Hawks finished the season strong, taking seven of their last 10 games, and their reward will be home court advantage in a first-round series against the Atlantic Division champion Boston Celtics.
The Hawks (40-26) and Boston (39-27) have faced off in the playoffs only once since 1988, a 2008 series in which an 8th seeded Atlanta pushed the soon-to-be Finals winning Celtics to seven games. This Hawks squad is a good deal more seasoned than that one, but won't have center Al Horford available unless they advance further into the playoffs.
The full series schedule is as follows:
GAME 1 (Sunday, April 29, in Atlanta) - 7 ET (TNT)
GAME 2 (Tuesday, May 2, in Atlanta) - 7:30 ET (NBA TV)
GAME 3 (Friday, May 4, in Boston) - 7:30 ET (ESPN2)
GAME 4 (Sunday, May 6 in Boston) - 7 ET (TNT)
GAME 5 (Tuesday, May 8 in Atlanta) - TBD (TV to be determined)
GAME 6 (Thursday, May 10 in Boston) - TBD (TV to be determined)
GAME 7 (Saturday, May 12 in Atlanta) - TBD (TNT)
