Hawks Vs. Celtics: Paul Pierce Has Sprained MCL, Expected To Play In Game 6

Stay connected for news and updates

Celtics forward Paul Pierce has a sprained MCL in his knee but is expected to play in Game 6 after participating in the team's shootaround this morning.

Pierce wasn't as effective in Game 5 and now we know why. He didn't appear to be moving nearly as well as he did earlier in the series and didn't quite have the lift on his jumpshots. Atlanta needs to take advantage of this as they look to make him work for everything he gets at both ends of the floor. No doubt Pierce will play but his effectiveness particularly late in the game could be affected.
