2012 NBA Draft: Latest Mock Has Quincy Miller Headed To The Hawks

Stay connected for news and updates

We are closing in on the 2012 NBA Draft and many projections have the Atlanta Hawks going big with the 23rd pick of the first round. CBS Sports' Jeff Goodman has Baylor forward Quincy Miller heading to Atlanta in his latest mock draft.

Probably should have stayed in school another year, but he does have plenty of upside. Just didn't look like himself following the knee injury his senior year of high school, but he's a long wing who is an above-average athlete and also fairly skilled.

Interestingly Goodman has the Hawks selecting Miller even with Syracuse big man Fab Melo still on the board. An athletic big man like Melo would be a welcome addition to the Hawks front line but Miller could potentially provide some competition at the small forward position for Marvin Williams.
