2012 NBA Draft: Hawks Take John Jenkins With The 23rd Pick

Stay connected for news and updates

The Atlanta Hawks went for a shooter with the No. 23 pick of the 2012 NBA Draft by selecting Vanderbilt's John Jenkins.

Jenkins' deep shooting stroke will add some much needed long distance shooting to the club. He showed in college the ability to make clutch shots. He averaged 19.9 points per game in his final season at Vanderbilt. Questions about his overall game followed him into draft workouts but he must have eased the Hawks concerns.

Jenkins will likely move into the role that Willie Green manned last season. He could potentially provide some scoring punch off of the Atlanta bench.
