Hawks Trade Rumors: Atlanta One Of The Busiest Teams In Current Trade Market, According To Report

New general manager Danny Ferry isn't wasting any time. According to CBS Sports' Ken Berger the Atlanta Hawks are one of the busiest teams in the current trade market. According to Berger the Hawks have spoken with as many as 20 teams and have at least a half dozen active discussions currently.

When Ferry talked with the media on draft night he promised that he would not leave a stone unturned when it came to the construction of next season's roster. Ferry added that the best chance for Atlanta to gain some flexibility was via trade. The Hawks are reportedly in discussions with the Nets for a trade involving Joe Johnson. Atlanta has also received calls on Josh Smith who is in the final year of his deal.
