NBA Free Agency 2012: Rashard Lewis Has Meeting Scheduled With Hawks

Stay connected for news and updates

Danny Ferry has been kicking the tires on a lot of free agents this offseason and reportedly has a face-to-face meeting scheduled with forward Rashard Lewis.

Lewis was recently in Miami meeting with the Heat but left town without a deal and is continuing to talk to other teams. The Hawks have a need at the small forward position after trading both Marvin Williams and Joe Johnson.

Lewis played in 28 games with the Wizards last season before a knee injury shut him down. He was traded to the New Orleans Hornets this offseason and then received a contract buyout. Lewis has a career 16.1 points per game average but his best days are clearly behind him.

He is reportedly interested in signing with a contender so it remains to be seen how much of a shot the Hawks really have.
