Jordan Farmar's tenure as an Atlanta Hawk will exist only on paper, as his contract will be bought out by the club and he'll play in Europe, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

Farmar played in Tel Aviv during the NBA Lockout last season, and asked to be bought out of the $1.5 million remaining on his contract after he was traded by the Nets to Atlanta as part of the Joe Johnson deal. According to the Star-Ledger, Farmar will sign with Anadolu Efes of Istanbul, Turkey for a three-year deal worth $10.5 million.

For all parties - the Nets, who were trying to clear room for Joe Johnson, the Hawks, who wanted expiring contracts to unload in favor of dumping Johnson's huge contract and Farmar, whose strongest offer came from Anadolu Efes - the move has worked out.
