The Atlanta Hawks fell to the Boston Celtics, 87=69 in Monday's NBA Summer League action at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas. This is the Hawks' second straight loss this summer after starting with a win against the Washington Wizards.
Atlanta shot only 36 percent from the field so it's rather easy to see how they scored less than 70 points. The Hawks were led by Mike Scott and John Jenkins, who both scored 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting from the field. Keith Benson, the summer squad's rebounding leader, pulled down a team-high 10 boards in the losing effort.
For the Celtics, Kris Joseph and Jared Sullinger were impressive, leading the team with 14 points. Boston rookie Fab Melo also looked good in transition, though he didn't exactly light up the stat sheet.
The Celtics actually had six players score in double figures on Monday.
