Stay connected for news and updates

The Atlanta Hawks continue to explore the free agent market for options for the upcoming 2012-13 NBA season. one of the players they are taking a look at is free agent point guard Jonny Flynn, although he may have his sights set elsewhere.

Jason Lloyd of the Beacon Journal reports that Flynn has worked out for the Hawks, as well as for the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Lloyd reports that there is "strong interest on both sides" between Flynn and the Cavs, who could certainly use a point guard.

Flynn last played for the Portland Trail Blazers, to whom he was traded mid-season from the Houston Rockets. Over his career, he has averaged 9.2 points per game and 3.9 assists per game.
