For no readily apparent reason, Ondrej Pavelec collapsed to the ice early in the game tonight against the Capitals while the action was on the other end of the ice. He remained down for several minutes before medical personnel escorted him off the ice.
Obviously, this is bad news for the Thrashers, regardless-people just don’t collapse for absolutely zero reason. Even if it’s minor, it bodes very ill for the Thrashers’ season to have something like this happen in the opener.
The game is currently tied at one goal apiece in the first intermission.
