<p>Yellow Jackets dominate the boards in easy victory.</p> <p>The Georgia Tech women's basketball squad burst out to a 19-5 lead on Quinnipiac and never looked back, cruising to a 74-57 win over the Bobcats Saturday night. Quinnipiac staged a comeback late in the first half, but never came closer than four points. The win improves Georgia Tech's record to 6-5 on the season. Quinnipiac falls to 8-2.</p>
<p>The Yellow Jackets were led by junior guard Dawnn Maye, who scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds. Aaliyah Whiteside added 17 points, while Tyaunna Marshall recorded 13 points and 14 rebounds. Georgia Tech shot just 37.5% from the field and committed 26 turnovers, but dominated the glass, outrebounding the Bobcats 46-27 and recovering 51% of their own missed shots.</p>
<p>Quinnipiac got 17 points and nine boards from sophomore forward Brittany McQuain. Freshman guard Jasmine Martin added 15 points. Felicia Barron had 10. The Bobcats shot just 8-for-26 from the free throw line and gave up 25 turnovers.</p>

<p>Daniel Miller and Robert Carter Jr. lead Georgia Tech to easy win over Fordham.</p> <p>The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/georgia-tech-yellow-jackets">Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets</a> used an 21-2 second-half run to pull away from the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/fordham-rams">Fordham Rams</a>, winning 73-48 and improving their record to 9-2. Tech held a 10-point halftime advantage, but Fordham had narrowed the lead to six points with 15:30 left to play. Georgia Tech responded by holding the Rams to just one field goal over the next eight minutes, building an insurmountable advantage.</p>
<p>Georgia Tech was led by center Daniel Miller and forward Robert Carter Jr., who each scored 14. Miller added a team-high nine rebounds. Point guard <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/99799/mfon-udofia">Mfon Udofia</a> had seven assists. Guards Brandon Reed and Jason Morris each added nine points for the Yellow Jackets.</p>
<p>Fordham got 17 points from guard <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/123545/branden-frazier">Branden Frazier</a> and 16 points from forward <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/99750/chris-gaston">Chris Gaston</a>. The remaining Rams combined for just 15 points, with nine coming from <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/174621/mandell-thomas">Mandell Thomas</a>. Frazier also led the team with five assists. The Rams shot just 28.1% from the field and 4/19 (21.1%) behind the three-point arc.</p>
<p>Georgia Tech closes its non-conference season Wednesday night against Chattanooga.</p>
