Braves vs. Pirates lineups: Chipper Jones, regulars get night off

The Atlanta Braves take on the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night, in the second of a three-game series to conclude the 2012 regular season.

Chipper Jones is not in Tuesday's lineup, and is merely getting at least one extra day of rest in advance of Atlanta's playoff game on Friday. The Braves were officially eliminated from the NL East title race with their loss last night, and will host either the St. Louis Cardinals or Los Angeles Dodgers Friday night in the new one-game Wild Card round.

Jones isn't the only regular absent from Atlanta's lineup. Jason Heyward, Brian McCann and Freddie Freeman are also resting on Tuesday.

Both Fredi Gonzalez and Clint Hurdle have announced the starting lineups for Tuesday's game, and they are as follows:

Atlanta Braves

1B Lyle Overbay
C David Ross

SP Tommy Hanson

Pittsburgh Pirates

CF Andrew McCutchen
1B Garrett Jones
