Falcons Football: Asante Samuel happy to be out of Philly

Rob Carr

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel told reporters after the game that he's glad that he's not in Philadelphia anymore. What does he think are the biggest differences between the Falcons and the Eagles?

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel helped the Falcons defense hold the Philadelphia Eagles to 17 points in Sunday's victory. After the game, Samuel, who spent four seasons with the Eagles before being traded during the offseason, said to reporters that he was glad that he no longer played for his old team.

Samuel also took a shot at the Eagles' strategy saying that the biggest difference between the Falcons and the Eagles are "Coaching. And we run the ball."

The Eagles currently stand a 3-4, a half-game ahead of the last place Washington Redskins in the NFC East and two games behind the New York Giants after their victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Tight end Tony Gonzalez said that after the game he spoke with several Eagles players who think that "something's going to go down here."

The Falcons defend their undefeated record next week against the Dallas Cowboys on NBC's Sunday Night Football.
