Atlanta Falcons tight end Michael Palmer will miss Week 6's game against the Oakland Raiders because of a shoulder injury he sustained against the San Diego Chargers in Week 3.
Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith announced today that tight end Michael Palmer will be out for next Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders. Palmer is still recovering from the shoulder injury he sustained in the Falcons' Week 3 victory over the San Diego Chargers.
So far this season, Palmer has caught only two passes for seven yards. Smith hopes to have Palmer back on the roster after the bye week in Week 7.
Palmer has played his entire three-year career with the Falcons after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent from the Clemson Tigers in 2010. In three years with the team, Palmer has caught 17 passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
The Falcons are scheduled to play the Raiders on Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on CBS.
