Weatherspoon suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Atlanta's win over the Eagles.

Atlanta Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon did not practice with the team on Wednesday, and his status for this weekend's game is uncertain. Weatherspoon is recovering from an ankle injury suffered during the fourth quarter of his team's Week 8 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

"I think we know where he's going to be [Thursday] in terms of whether if he's going to be able to go beyond that," Falcons head coach Mike Smith said.

Weatherspoon has started all seven of Atlanta's games this season and has 52 tackles, including three sacks. He started all 16 of the team's regular season games a year ago and finished with 115 tackles, including four sacks. Weatherspoon has appeared in 34 games for Atlanta since becoming the Falcons' first round draft pick in 2010.

The Falcons will try to stay undefeated when they take on the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday. That game is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
