Falcons Vs. Saints: Jacquizz Rodgers makes the most out of a few touches

Jake Roth-US PRESSWIRE

Atlanta Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers may not have lit up the stat sheet on Sunday, but he did have a couple of key plays in the fourth quarter.

Atlanta Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers was not the feature back for much of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, but he was a key figure in the Falcons' attempt to come back in the fourth quarter. Rodgers finished with 62 all-purpose yards, 29 rushing and 33 receiving.

Rodgers broke an 18-yard run in the fourth quarter, making it the third game in a row he has had a play of 15 yards or more. Against the Philadelphia Eagles two weeks ago he had a 43-yard run and against the Dallas Cowboys last week he had a 53-yard run. So far this season Rodgers has rushed for 166 yards and has gained 223 receiving yards and has scored one touchdown off a catch.

The Falcons are now preparing for next Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals at the Georgia Dome. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff and the game will be broadcast on Fox.
