Falcons add Jacques McClendon to practice squad

The Atlanta Falcons signed offensive lineman Jacques McClendon to their practice squad on Wednesday.

The Atlanta Falcons have added offensive lineman Jacques McClendon to their practice squad, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

McClendon, primarily a guard, was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round of the 2010 draft. The former Tennessee Volunteer played four games with the Colts his rookie season, before moving on to Detroit the following year. McClendon did not see any game action with the Lions before getting waived.

He then found himself on the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad this season before getting released last week to make room for safety Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith.

The 324-pound McClendon played 49 games at Tennesee, starting in 26 of them. He started in all 13 games his senior season, helping pave the way for running back Montario Hardesty, who currently plays for the Cleveland Browns. McClendon was one of three Volunteers lineman to start all 13 games.
