Alabama and LSU remain at the top of the SEC with both still holding undefeated records. Georgia and South Carolina are battling in an Eastern division race that may not be decided until the final weeks of conference play.
Things are tight at the top of the SEC as both division leads are still up for grabs. Alabama and LSU are not only battling for a spot in the SEC Championship game but also in the National Championship picture. After dropping its first two games, Georgia is back in the Eastern race after three straight conference wins.
In the East, Georgia and South Carolina are both sporting 3-1 records after wins over Tennessee and Kentucky. South Carolina holds the head-to-head tie breaker with Georgia so the Bulldogs need to continue to take care of business and have to hope for South Carolina to lose somewhere along the way. Florida is 2-2 after suffering a 41-11 loss in Baton Rouge.
Alabama and LSU are both 3-0 and looking like the class of the conference thus far. The Tide will host LSU on Nov 5. Auburn drops to 2-1 after a 38-14 loss to Arkansas. The Razorbacks are still within shouting distance at 1-1. The state of Mississippi is still seeking its first conference win of 2012 with Ole Miss and Mississippi State combining for an 0-5 SEC mark.
