When the odds for Saturday's Georgia-Florida game came out the Bulldogs were a 1.5 point favorite. The line continues to slant in the Bulldogs favor as they have grown into a three point favorite in rather peculiar fashion.
Consider that Florida's starting quarterback John Brantley is expected to return to action after missing the last two games with an injury. Georgia has two defensive starters, Shawne Williams and Kwame Geathers suspended for the first half due to their actions in the win over Vanderbilt. Finally, freshman wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell's status is in question after he reportedly tweaked his hamstring injury in practice on Monday.
Never mind that the Gators' three game losing streak came against No. 1 LSU, No. 2 Alabama and No. 24 Auburn which has to be one of the toughest stretches on a schedule in college football this season.
