Say there, angry mob of Bulldog fans: Take a look right quick at these here ciphers, the locals call 'em "The SEC Football Standings" or some such thing. Turns out that varmit Mark Richt might be positioned to take Georgia to the SEC Championship after all:
Southeastern Conference Standings

With a clean sweep of the Magnolia State, Georgia's now 2-1 entering the bulk of divisional play (Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Florida in the next four weeks). Much like 2011, UGA's 2010 woes started with early losses, but the 1-4 2010 Bulldogs were also 0-3 in the SEC at this point last year, and would go on to blow out Tennessee 41-14.
If Georgia can repeat their fortunes this Saturday in Knoxville, South Carolina's increasing offensive malaise could position the October 29's game against Florida as the de facto SEC East Championship. Good thing there's absolutely no discernable trends in that rivalry that negatively affect the Bulldogs, whatsoever.
