The Georgia Bulldogs expect freshman Isaiah Crowell to be available to play on Saturday against Georgia Tech after suffering an ankle injury in Saturday's win over Kentucky.

Georgia freshman tailback Isaiah Crowell is expected to play on Saturday against Georgia Tech so says his coach Mark Richt.

Richt expects #UGA tailback Isaiah Crowell ready to go against Georgia Tech despite ankle injury. "It didn't seem to swell too badly."

Crowell lasted for just two carries and 11 yards against Kentucky on Saturday in the Bulldogs' division clinching win over the Wildcats. The freshman runner has had a hard time staying on the field this season as he has been nagged by injury throughout several games. However, the Bulldogs need him to stay on the field now as much of their running back depth has been decimated by injury or other factors.

Backup tailback Richard Samuel is out after ankle surgery has him sidelined at least through the SEC championship game. Carlton Thomas missed Saturday's game due to personal reasons leaving Brandon Harton to essentially carry the load with 23 carries and his first career 100 yard performance.
