College GameDay, the ESPN property it's always cool to like, is headed to Atlanta for the first time all season. The 2011 SEC Championship Game will mark the seventh time Atlanta has hosted GameDay, which isn't bad for such a TERRIBLE SPORTS TOWN, right?
The game between the Georgia Bulldogs and LSU Tigers makes for the fourth-straight year with a GameDay visit, plus the second Atlanta venture in a row to involve LSU (it's also LSU's fourth time to play in the show's host game this year). It will be the first edition to involve UGA since the 2008 Alabama Crimson Tide game.
In 2010, the show took a year off from its late tradition of showing up for SEC title games, instead heading to Oregon for the Civil War. With LSU ranked No. 1 in the country and Atlanta being awesome at everything, it only makes sense to head back to the A.
