The Bulldogs built a nine point lead going into the half but couldn't hold it against an experienced Cincinnati losing 57-51. The loss was the Bulldogs third straight and drops their record to the .500 mark at 4-4.
Cincinnati erased an 11 point Bulldogs lead in the second half with a 16-4 run. Georgia struggled to find a rhythm against the Bearcats' zone defense and shot just 28.6 percent in the second half from the field. Additionally the Bulldogs turned the ball over eight times in the second half and only produced three assists.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led Georgia with 16 points but didn't score in the second half until with 8.8 seconds remaining in the game. Caldwell-Pope was just 6-14 from the field and 1-6 from three point range but also finished with seven rebounds and four steals. Gerald Robinson Jr chipped in 12 points.
Sean Kilpatrick led Cincinnati with a game-high 22 points while Dion Dixon added 19. Neither team shot the ball particularly well but it was the Bearcats' three point shooting that was the difference. Cincinnati was 9-20 from long distance while Georgia could manage just 3-14.

Georgia Tech couldn't overcome a hot shooting Northwestern Wildcats team falling 76-60 at Philips Arena in the 2011 ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The Yellow Jackets fall to 4-2 on the season while Northwestern remains unbeaten at 5-0
Jason Morris scored 16 of his 21 points in the first half to lead the Yellow Jackets. Mfon Udofia added 12 points while Glen Rice Jr and Daniel Miller chipped in 10 apiece. Miller also grabbed a team high nine rebounds. Georgia Tech hit 34 percent of its shots but turned the ball over 16 times.
Northwestern's John Shurna scored a game high 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Wildcats. Drew Crawford added 14 points while Luka Mirkovic chipped in 13. Dave Sobolewski finished with eight points and six assists. The Wildcats hit 55 percent of their shots from the field in the game and came up with 11 steals as a team.
