SEC Championship Game 2011: Richard Samuel, DeAngelo Tyson Status Uncertain

Stay connected for news and updates

While Mark Richt was evasive while talking about his running backs rotation for Saturday's SEC Championship game against LSU, he did offer up some injury updates regarding two other Bulldogs.

Both running back Richard Samuel and defensive end DeAngelo Tyson are on the trip and will dress out for the game but whether they will play or not is up in the air

"Whether or not they play, I don't know, Richt said. "If they do play, they'll be gutting it out."

Samuel had ankle surgery after Georgia's win over Florida and Tyson hurt his ankle in the Bulldogs' win over Georgia Tech. Athens Banner-Herald writer Marc Weiszer observed injured offensive lineman Dallas Lee "limping around" during the Bulldogs' media appearance at the Georgia Dome. While Lee practiced some this week, Weiszer said that it looked like he wouldn't be able to go.

On the LSU side of things, safety Eric Reid is considered as questionable with a bruised quadriceps.
