Aaron Murray Injury Only A Sprained Right Ankle; Soccer To Blame, Because It's Soccer

Aaron Murray’s ankle injury will not keep him out of spring practices — exhale, Bulldog Nation. It’s only a sprained right ankle suffered while playing soccer this weekend. While Dawg fans may be concerned to note their poor year for men’s athletic programs has extended into the soccer program, all is well for Murray.

X-rays were negative as far as broken bones go, and an MRI confirmed the sprain according to team director of sports medicine Ron Courson, who also says Murray’s rehab will be conducted under the supervision of the team’s staff.

Initial reports had Murray down as suffering two broken bones in his right ankle, a far cry indeed from the actual result. If he had broken his ankle, he’d be on course to miss almost the entire offseason.

Looks like no more soccer for Murray. And he’ll probably want to avoid racquetball too, at least when David Pollack is around.
