NCAA Football 12 Cover: Nick Fairley, Mark Ingram, Jake Locker, DeMarco Murray In The Running

EA Sports' NCAA Football 12 will be the greatest game ever, which I'm saying with total confidence because NCAA 11 was the greatest game ever even with all the middle linebackers leaping out of their souls to bat away every pass over the middle. They'll totally fix that! Chill! In more pressing matters, Pasta Padre has a final four of athletes who are in the running to make the cover, including a pair of SEC stars.

Auburn Tigers DT Nick Fairley is the sole defender on the list, along with Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Washington Huskies QB Jake Locker and Oklahoma Sooners RB DeMarco Murray are also candidates, and I will laugh every single time I turn on my Xbox to try and get zero-star Kennesaw State into the SEC if Locker's earnest face is there to greet me. I will teach my daughter to laugh at this as well. Currently she says, "He's so sad!" when looking at Tim Tebow's screaming face, which nobody had to teach her to say.

Questions about Fairley's possible inclusion ... will this game require a M rating? Romeo Must Die X-rays of ACLs buckling? How many seconds after a whistle can you begin a Stone Cold Stunner without losing Trooperbucks? During recruiting phone calls, will shouting "HATERS, PAWWWL!" into my Xbox mic unlock a 180,000-point bonus? You may have questions about this as well.

And, why yes, we are a video game blog now.
