Justin Houston Has Violated 'Substance Abuse Policy' Before, According To Report

Stay connected for news and updates

Justin Houston reportedly tested positive for marijuana during a drug test at the 2011 NFL Combine, and that doesn't appear to be the first time he's gotten in trouble for using substances. As Dawg Sports unearths, Houston was suspended for two games in 2009, his sophomore season, for what CBS Sports eventually called "reportedly violating university substance abuse policy."

Getting caught with weed twice is going to be a much bigger problem for the average NFL general manager than only doing so once. Remember how scared teams were (or at least wanted to appear to be) of Percy Harvin?

We'll sort of find out Thursday night whether any of this affects Houston's draft stock. If he still goes in the first round, then it evidently won't have cost him much of anything. Have to think the Atlanta Falcons have crossed him off their round-one list, however.
