2011 NFL Draft: A.J. Green Joins Von Miller, Prince Amukamara In Opting To Attend

Stay connected for news and updates

Though the issue of whether incoming rookies will attend the 2011 NFL Draft in New York City has been a contentious one, Georgia Bulldogs WR A.J. Green has announced he’ll make the trip, mentioning some new suits he’s bought for the occasion [Facebook joke].

Texas A&M LB Von Miller remains one of the biggest names to declare NFL Draft attendance, along with Nebraska CB Prince Amukamara, Illinois DT Corey Liuget, Purdue DE Ryan Kerrigan, and Virginia Tech RB Ryan Williams. Ohio State DE Cameron Heyward, for one, declined the NFL’s invitation.

One of the most difficult — or entertaining, for rival fans — things about watching the draft is seeing one player unexpectedly drop far lower than expected. Though those players often end up with the last laugh (Aaron Rodgers!), sometimes they don’t (Brady Quinn!).
