2011 SEC Baseball Championship Final Score: Florida Downs Vanderbilt, 5-0

Stay connected for news and updates

The Florida Gators bombed the Vanderbilt Commodores 5-0 in the 2011 SEC baseball tournament title game, leaving no doubt by putting 10 hits on the board. Vandy put up nine hits of its own, amounting to a whole horde of Dores left on the bases.

This is Florida's first SEC tournament title since 1991, perhaps marking a return to the program's dominance of the 1980s. But we're getting ahead of ourselves.

Senior Alex Panteliodis held Vandy to five hits in his five innings, allowing just one walk and striking out five batters. Josh Adams, Bryson Smith and Daniel Pigott contributed a pair of hits each.
