The Mississippi St. Bulldogs scored a stunning walk-off victory against the Florida Gators to tie their Super Regionals series at a game apiece, with a two-run homer by Nick Vickerson off Steven Rodriguez giving the Bulldogs a 4-3 victory.
Nolan Fontana drove home Cody Dent in the third to give Florida the early lead, followed by a Josh Adams home run off Nick Routt in the fourth. After Mississippi State tied it up in the seventh, Florida regained the lead in the eighth thanks to what at the time looked to have been the series' most critical play: a deep two-out Tyler Thompson drive floated just long of center fielder C.T. Bradford's glove, scoring Mike Zunino.
Florida advanced to the bottom of the ninth with a one-run lead and a mighty strong record of hanging on to late leads. The two will pair up on Sunday at 1 pm ET to decide which will reach the College World Series.
