NCAA Baseball Scores, Mississippi State Vs. Florida: Nick Vickerson Keeps Super Regional Final Close

Stay connected for news and updates

The Mississippi St. Bulldogs forced a decisive Game 3 against the Florida Gators with a dramatic Game 2 win, and were down 4-0 in the top of the fourth before Nick Vickerson jolted a three-run homer off Alex Panteliodis to make a ballgame of it -- a 4-3 one, in fact. This is the second huge Vickerson round-tripper in as many days -- it was his tater that forced this game, and we've gone full circle.

Florida already has a trio of home runs of its own, with Daniel Pigott's scoring a pair of runners in the third inning. They should also probably try to keep the ball low and away when Vickerson's at the plate, don't you think?

The winner will join the Vanderbilt Commodores as the SEC's CWS reps.
