UNC Vs. Vanderbilt Score, College World Series: Vandy Up 4-0 Through Two

Stay connected for news and updates

The Wednesday night elimination game between the Vanderbilt Commodores and North Carolina Tar Heels reached a 1-0 advantage for Vandy at the end of the first. SS Anthony Gomez contributed a sacrifice fly that brought home LF Tony Kemp. Through two innings, UNC starter Greg Holt has also given up a three-run homer to CF Connor Harrell, making it 4-0.

Taylor Hill is on the mound for the Dores, giving up just one hit and striking out two so far.

The winner of this game will advance to face the Florida Gators in the College World Series semifinal round. The loser will depart Omaha and go think about either never having won a championship in any sport ever or its soon-to-be abolished football program. Depending on who wins, of course.
