All but one of the 16 spots in the 2011 NCAA baseball tournament's Super Regionals round was decided Monday night, with Texas A&M and Arizona dragging out their College Station Regional final until Tuesday. South Carolina Gamecocks fans who'd been expecting a showdown against the Clemson Tigers are highly amused to note they'll instead face the Connecticut Huskies after UConn crushed Clemson, 14-1.
Individual game schedules are still pending, but we know the three Super Regionals with SEC matchups, with the other two being the Florida Gators vs. the Mississippi St. Bulldogs in Gainesville and the Vanderbilt Commodores vs. the Oregon St. Beavers in Nashville. With three ACC teams making the Super Regionals round, all but two series will be played in the Southeast.
