Knowshon Moreno Considered A Bust In Denver, According To Report

This comes from Woody Paige, so color your reception of it with whatever opinion you may have of Woody Paige. But according to the Denver Post columnist, Josh McDaniels' staff felt it had made a mistake by drafting Georgia Bulldogs RB Knowshon Moreno. Paige adds terms like "wimp" and "not a great clubhouse guy" based on what he says his source told him.

If it's the same source that told him people in Georgia care more about basement ACC football than they do the Super Bowl, I'd say we should simply move along, but there's a little bit more to it.

Paige also says new Broncos coach John Fox considers running back to be one of the team's biggest needs. Fox hasn't even had a chance to see Moreno work out in person yet, though, so who knows what to make of that.

If Denver is dissatisfied with Moreno, that probably explains surrounding him on offense with Florida and Georgia Tech players. That'll show him!

In 22 career starts in Denver, Moreno has tallied 2,311 yards from scrimmage. He's played in 29 games, missing playing time due to various injuries.
