Georgia Football Confirms Brandon Burrows Shoulder Surgery

Stay connected for news and updates

The Georgia Bulldogs have announced reserve inside linebacker Brandon Burrows, a redshirt freshman, will likely miss the 2011 season after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder to correct a chronic instability, which sounds horrid. He wasn't expected to compete for starting time, but would've provided depth and participated on special teams.

This isn't the worst news to hit a UGA football player so far this offseason, but it's still quite a setback. That's some brilliant analysis.

Georgia's linebacking corps is beginning to resemble its offensive line as far as depth goes, with Jarvis Jones and Kent Turene still questionable and Richard Samuel gone to the other side of the ball. As long as remaining starters stay healthy there shouldn't be any major issues, but that's kind of a lot to count on.
