2011 Biletnikoff Award Watch List Includes Tavarres King, A Man With Shoes To Fill

Stay connected for news and updates

While Justin Blackmon, Ryan Broyles and Michael Floyd are going to be the Fred Biletnikoff Award frontrunners and Alshon Jeffery is the SEC fave, Georgia Bulldogs WR Tavarres King has earned at least a morsel of national attention by being named to the 2011 Biletnikoff watch list.

Considering he's taking over the spot of a player who would've been a legit Heisman Trophy candidate if he'd been able to play an entire junior season -- not to mention he'll receive passes from perhaps the SEC's best quarterback -- King shouldn't be as surprising an honoree as he is.

Remember King put up 504 yards as a sophomore despite being perhaps option No. 4 behind A.J. Green, Kris Durham and Orson Charles. With Durham gone in addition to Green, King has a chance to make a name for himself in his junior season as UGA's most experienced starting wideout.
