Brandon Boykin Injury: Georgia Offense Helped Off Field

Stay connected for news and updates

The Georgia Bulldogs offense, defense and special teams all took a potential hit when cornerback Brandon Boykin remained on the turf for a moment. Boykin, in addition to scoring UGA's only touchdown on an 80-yard run, has also returned kicks as is custom and delivered a stern hit on a Boise State receiver.

The injury didn't look to be too severe, as Boykin was able to walk to the sideline, and could only be a cramp.

Boykin appeared on just about every preseason award watch list he could possibly appear on. His loss would be crushing against a quarterback like Kellen Moore, but I'd expect him to return shortly.

Elsewhere, injured left guard Kenarious Gates was replaced by Dallas Lee. This offensive line really can't afford to dig much deeper into its depth.
