Monday's Outback bowl match-up between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Michigan State Spartans will pit two of the nation's top five defenses against each other. Michigan State finished fifth in the country allowing 272.7 yards per game while the Bulldogs finished third allowing just 268.5.
A win by the Bulldogs would be their No. 27 in 47 career appearances trailing only Alabama, USC and Oklahoma. It woud also give Georgia its fourth season of at least 11 victories under Mark Richt. Michigan State is looking for its first bowl victory under head coach Mark Dantonio who is 0-4.
