2012 Georgia Football Recruiting: OL Chester Brown Withdraws Commitment

OL Chester Brown, a three-star recruit from Hindsville, Georgia, has withdraw his commitment to the Georgia football program for what he called "personal reasons".

Brown committed to the Bulldogs last summer after a dominant performance at "Dawg Night", but the 6'5 335 lineman may have wavered over a perceived lack of available playing time at a top 25 program, as his only other scholarship offers were from Georgia State, South Alabama and Tennessee State.

A native Samoan, Brown was born Keka Alofa Brown and only began playing football as a freshman.

While he has played as an offensive tackle in high school, his size and lack of lateral mobility made many project him as an offensive guard at the next level.

Brown is reportedly now considering offers from Syracuse, Tulane and UCF now that he has opened up his recruiting once again.

His decommitment leaves Georgia with 16 players in the 2012 recruiting class with National Signing Day looming on Feb. 5.
