JaQuay Wililams, the No. 14 rated wide receiver recruit in the country according to Rivals, has committed to Auburn, announcing the news on television at his high school Wednesday morning. Williams, who played for Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Georgia chose Auburn over Georgia and a host of other SEC schools (Arkansas, Alabama). However, the Dogs were considered the best chance behind the Tigers as late contenders for his services.
Williams announced alongside teammate Will Adams, an offensive lineman who also signed with Auburn after wavering on his initial verbal commitment to Georgia Tech. Williams had initially given a verbal commitment to Auburn earlier in the season before the Tigers' offensive staff went through a shake-up.
Wililams, a 6-foot-3, 205 lb. wide receiver, is rated the 90th best prospect in the nation at any position by Rivals, and the seventh best overall prospect in the state of Georgia.
