Robert Nkemdiche's Teammate Offered By UGA, But Dawgs Have Ground To Make Up

Robert Nkemdiche, considered the nation's top recruit for the 2013 class, visited Georgia over the weekend. He enjoyed his time and even though the Bulldogs haven't cracked his top-five schools, which are thought to be Alabama, Oregon, LSU, Florida and Florida State, Nkemdiche said he will stay in contact with the school.

However, the Bulldogs may have missed a golden opportunity to have an inside track on bringing in the 6-foot-5, 270-pound defensive end by not showing more interest in his older brother, Denzel Nkemdiche, who just wrapped up his freshman season at Ole Miss. Even though Denzel made it known he wanted to be a Bulldog, Georgia didn't show much interest until it was too late.

When asked if it would have made a difference in Robert's feelings about Georgia, he said it would have.

"Yes, that would've made a difference for me with Georgia," Robert Nkedmiche said. "I never really understood it. Georgia just waited too long and [Denzel] went ahead and signed with Ole Miss. But I like Georgia. It's fine that my brother is not there. I still like Georgia."

Georgia tried to make up for it by offering a scholarship to one of Robert's teammates, Wayne Gallman, but it may be too little, too late. Robert and Denzel's mother would like to see the two brothers play football together again in college and Robert is visiting Ole Miss soon.
