Vanderbilt Vs. Georgia Final Score: Commodores Comeback To Defeat The Bulldogs 61-52

The Vanderbilt Commodores outscored the Georgia Bulldogs 33-23 in the second half to win on the road in Athens by the final score of 61-52. The win gives Vanderbilt a 19-8 record overall, 8-4 in SEC play and are setting themselves up for a national ranking and more favorable seed in the NCAA tournament.

John Jenkins went off in the second half, scoring 16 of his 28 points points in the final twenty minutes to push the Commodores over the top. Georgia was lead by Gerald Robinson's 19 points, but their leading scorer Kentavious Caldwell-Pope struggled on Sunday as he finished with just 6 points on 3-of-13 shooting.

Georgia's record falls to 12-14 on the season and 3-9 in conference play.

Vanderbilt Vs. Georgia Halftime Update: Bulldogs Lead 29-28 Over Commodores

Gerald Robinson's 10 points in the first half has helped give head coach Mark Fox's Georgia Bulldogs a one-point lead at the half over the Vanderbilt Commodores in Athens.

John Jenkins' 12 points along with Jeffrey Taylor's 10 points have kept Vanderbilt in the game thus far, as the Commodores were favored to come into this game and win big. However, Kevin Stallings' ball club is shooting just 29% from the floor, have been out-rebounded 17-11 and have committed 9 turnovers in the first half.

Vanderbilt has come into Sunday afternoon's game looking to solidify their position in the 2012 NCAA tournament, and a loss to Georgia would hurt their chances significantly. With a win, Georgia would nudge their record back to .500 at 13-13.
