The Bulldogs dropped their 10th SEC game of the season Wednesday night in Baton Rogue.
The Georgia Bulldogs are keeping pace with LSU, but trail the Tigers 29-23 in Baton Rogue at the half. UGA is behind LSU in most major categories by just a fraction - the Tigers lead field goal percentage (50% to 40%, three point efficiency (28.6% to 25% and rebounds (15 to 10), but also turnovers (4 to Georgia's 3).
Senior guard Gerald Robinson Jr. continues his team leading scoring, leading the Bulldogs with eight points (as well as three boards and one steal), followed by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Nemanja Djurisic with five each. LSU guard Johnny O'Bryant has nine points.
LSU opened the game on a 15-3 run, but Georgia clawed back in the game to close the half on a 6-2 run.

Georgia (12-14, 3-9) will play its second of three games this week when they travel to LSU (16-10, 6-6) after starting with a home loss to Vanderbilt on Sunday, 61-52. Senior guard Gerald Robinson Jr. had 19 points in the loss to the Commodores, stealing a little spotlight from freshman sensation Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as Robinson is now the team leader in points scored (14.1 per game average). The Bulldogs are 5-5 in Baton Rogue since SEC Expansion in 1992. LSU is looking to technically stay alive in the NCAA Tournament race, having reached .500 in SEC play with a weekend win over Alabama.

Georgia Vs. LSU Final Score: Dogs Lose Tenth SEC Game 61-53
Gerald Robinson Jr. and freshman Kentavious Caldwell-Pope combined for 27 of the Bulldogs' 53 points, but it wasn't enough to stop LSU, who gave Georgia their 10th SEC loss of the season Wednesday night in Baton Rogue.
The Bulldogs shot just 39% from field goal range and went to the free throw line only seven times. Andre Stringer (18 points) and Johnny O'Bryant (14 points) led the Tigers, who moved a game over .500 in the SEC standings.
Georgia trailed by only six at halftime after LSU opened the game on a 15-3 run, and came within three points twice in the second half, but couldn't take the lad. Georgia will return home to play Florida on Saturday afternoon.
