After committing to the South Carolina Gamecocks last month, four-star defensive back Brendan Langley is now giving the Georgia Bulldogs a second look. The high school senior from Marietta, Ga., verbally committed to South Carolina in August, but he is interested in attending a school that will allow him to be a two-sport athlete and compete in both football and basketball.
Last weekend, Langley made an unofficial visit to Athens to watch the Bulldogs dismantle Vanderbilt. While on campus, he had a discussion with men's basketball coach Mark Fox about playing point guard at the university. That conversation seemed to re-ignite his interest in the school, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
"Yes, the basketball opportunity really helps out Georgia – that's the only reason they're back in it at all," Langley told the AJC. "If it weren't for the basketball, I don't think I'd be looking at them like this. I mean, I'm committed to South Carolina. But Georgia has something just as good to offer. I definitely want to look into it."
Georgia has 28 players committed for 2013, but the cornerback position has been a high priority. Langley's size and athleticism is what defensive coordinator Todd Grantham likes to see from his defensive backs, and it's clear they've made the 6'1", 190-pound Langley one of their top priorities heading into next season.

After committing to the Georgia Bulldogs in a press conference Friday morning, Mill Creek (Ga.) High School defensive tackle Kelsey Griffin backed off of that commitment hours later according to his head coach Shannon Jarvis.
In a text message, Jarvis told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Michael Carvell that Griffin was not committed to the Bulldogs:
"We are about to load our buses for tonight's game so I will not be able to call. Please know that Kelsey is NOT committed to UGA right now. I know this may sound crazy, but it is the facts."
Griffin is considered a four-star recruit from all the major recruiting services and is on of the top recruits in Georgia that has not committed to a school. Along with the Bulldogs, Griffin is considering an offer from the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Griffin was unavailable for comment before Mill Creek's game against Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) High School.

After a lull in recruiting, the Georgia Bulldogs landed the commitment of defensive tackle Kelsey Griffin on Friday, according to The Telegraph (Macon, GA). Griffin is from Hochston, GA, and is rated as a four star prospect by Rivals. He's rated as the 12th best defensive tackle prospect in the nation, and 144th overall. Griffin chose the Dawgs over South Carolina, and joins another in-state prospect, DeAndre Johnson, as the second DT commitment in Georgia's 2013 class.
Griffin is the 26th member of Georgia's 2013 recruiting class. SEC regulations limit schools to signing only 25 players a year, but early enrollees can be backdated to the year before. Griffin is Georgia's 16th in-state commitment in 2013.
Georgia is currently ranked seventh in Rivals 2013 recruiting class rankings, and fourth in the SEC behind LSU (third), Florida (fifth), and Alabama (sixth).

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has an extensive list of recruiting visits of local interest for this weekend's college football games. One name expected to visit Georgia for its Saturday game against SEC rival Vanderbilt is top defensive line prospect Kelsey Griffin.
A defensive tackle from Mill Creek listed at 6'1, 289 pounds, Griffin is rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals. He's rated the 12th top defensive tackle in the country and the No. 11 recruit for the state of Georgia. Along with the Bulldogs, his listed choices of schools include Auburn, Florida, Florida State and South Carolina.
Also expected to visit the Bulldogs for the game against the Commodores are: Alpharetta WR Carlos Burse (committed to Vanderbilt), Northside-Warner Robins WR Anfirnee Chatfield, Newnan DB Tray Matthews, Brookwood LB Shaun McGee, Marist TE Greg Taboada, Thomson TE Jordan Davis, Valwood OL Aulden Bynum and Richmond Academy OL Will Jones.

Class of 2013 defensive back Shaq Wiggins says he is fully committed to the Georgia Bulldogs but still wants to take some official visits to other schools. He wants to experience what other programs have to offer, though he does not expect to be swayed away from the Bulldogs.
"In talking with some players that came before me, one of the things they wish they would’ve done was to visit other schools," Wiggins told the AJC. "I don’t want to make the same mistake. My parents want me to visit other schools to have something to compare to Georgia. But I don’t think anybody will compare to Georgia."

Wiggins, who is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, plans to visit Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Florida. He committed to Georgia in February.

The recruiting battle for the top class of 2013 running back in the state of Georgia this year is far from over, as Alvin Kamara of Norcross High School is still deciding between six schools -- Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Tennessee and Oregon.
However, in a conversation with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kamara indicated that the Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide are in the lead:
Why does Kamara like Alabama? "They produce high-quality players – all those guys that went in the NFL Draft last year, and you saw the game against Michigan. They put a high-quality product on the field, and that’s what I like about Alabama."
What about UGA? "There’s opportunity at Georgia. And it’s the same way as Alabama, they put a good product on the field. They’re good people in Athens. Coach [Mark Richt] is a good guy. I get along with the coaches, and they produce."
The 5'10, 190-pound running back is a four-star recruit ranked as high as No. 3 in the nation at his position.
For Georgia, reeling in Kamara is even more important, as the school still does not have a running back in the class of 2013 after Alabama picked up a commitment from Tyren Jones of Walton, who is neck-in-neck with Kamara in the recruiting rankings.

Wide receiver Kyrin Priester out of Brookwood High School may recommit to the Georgia Bulldogs. Priester initially committed to Georgia, but reopened his recruiting over the summer. The 6-foot-2, 185 pound receiver attended the Bulldogs' home opener against Buffalo last Saturday.
Priester considers the Bulldogs one of his finalists along with the South Carolina Gamecocks and the N.C. State Wolfpack. Priester had a conversation with Georgia wide receiver's coach Tony Ball on Saturday.
They told me there was a place for me if that's where I want to be. Coach Ball said they still need another wide receiver, and if I got serious about Georgia and put them back on the table, I will have a scholarship there
Priester will make a couple of official visits before making his final decision.

Derrick Henry is a five-star running back in the Class of 2013 that was committed to the University of Georgia for over a year. He de-committed in June to re-open his recruitment.
Henry will now make his announcement between Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia on Sept. 28, according to BamaOnline.com.
Henry is a 6'3", 240-pound rusher from Yulee, Fla., and has racked up a staggering 8,211 rushing yards and 102 touchdowns in his career so far at Yulee High School.
From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
Henry told the website that "Alabama’s still leading, and Tennessee is right there." He plans to attend Tennessee’s home game against Florida on Sept. 15 to get a good feel what Rocky Top is like during football season.
What about UGA? Henry picked the Bulldogs last summer at Dawg Night, stayed committed for nearly a year, and backed off his pledge in June. UGA appears to be third in a three-horse race, but Henry is close friends with UGA QB commit Brice Ramsey of Camden County and attended his game on Friday night.
Henry has now rushed for at least 100 yards in 33 consecutive games for Yulee.

Tyren Jones, the No. 1 high school running back prospect in Georgia, has been committed to Alabama since February, but recently made an unofficial visit to UGA. This could easily have Georgia fans excited, especially since Jones' high school offensive lineman teammate Brandon Kublanow is already committed to the Dawgs and trying to get him to flip his decision.
Jones says he's pretty confident in his decision to play for the Crimson Tide in 2013 because he feels like they can make him an all-purpose back and help him get to the next level. Jones is also trying to get Kublanow to change his mind and go to Alabama. The two clearly want to head to a college in a package deal, but seem to be decided on two different universities at the moment.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has a video interview with Jones and he discusses all of this there. It's also worth noting that Jones had 305 rushing yards and five touchdowns in the Corky Kell Classic at the Georgia Dome on Saturday.

John Atkins and Leonard Floyd, the only two members of Georgia's 2012 signing class who did not qualify academically, are both headed to Virginia's Hargrave Military Academy this fall, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Atkins, a massive defensive tackle prospect from Thompson, Ga., and Floyd, a rangy pass rusher from Eastman, Ga., will count towards Georgia's 2013 class and plan to enroll in Athens in January should the pair raise their grades and test scores enough to qualify.
The detour might benefit both Atkins and Floyd in the long run. Atkins was likely to redshirt this fall with two All-SEC-caliber nose tackles in John Jenkins and Kwame Geathers ahead of him on the depth chart. Floyd, who's a raw and lanky player coming from a small high school (Dodge County), would have joined one of the more loaded position groups on Georgia's roster, with Jarvis Jones, Cornelius Washington, and newcomers Jordan Jenkins and Josh Dawson in the fold.
Now, they will not waste a year of NCAA eligibility (attending Hargrave is essentially like a fifth year of high school) and the duo will have five years to play four seasons provided they do eventually make it to Athens.
The move means Coach Mark Richt and his staff can take 34 in this fall's class, should the nine or so current verbal commits who've said they plan to enroll early do so. Georgia must stay under the 85-scholarship limit, but the Dawgs took just 19 in the 2012 class, with only 17 currently on campus.

The Florida Gators' loss could potentially be the Georgia Bulldogs' gain. Offensive guard prospect Josh Outlaw decommited from Florida on Sunday. The 6-foot-4 offensive lineman from Lithonia, Ga., has plenty of suitors, but hasn't said for sure if he has an offer from UGA.
Outlaw told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution he decided to leave Florida for two reasons:
“I kind of wanted to re-evaluate things,” Outlaw said. “We weren’t seeing eye-to-eye on a couple of things. I wanted to take my official visits to other schools, and they weren’t big on that.
“We tried to talk about it and hash things out. It was just best for me to take a step back, reconsider everything and take my time with it.”
Outlaw, out of Martin Luther King Jr. High, is a four-star prospect on both Scout and 247sports.com and a three-star prospect on Rivals.com. He's reported to have also had offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Clemson and East Carolina.

Longtime Georgia Bulldogs football commit Tray Matthews will make official visits to four other schools, according to Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The four-star safety will visit the USC Trojans, Auburn Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers and Florida Gators.
Matthews has been committed to playing as a Bulldog for more than a year, but he indicated he was rattled by Georgia's recent additions of two safeties to its recruiting class. He said the new commitments had affected him, but that he realizes it is a part of the game and that the team had an obligation to add quality players to the roster.
Despite the upcoming visits, though, Matthews maintained he is still committed to Georgia:
"I’m still with Georgia, that’s my team," Matthews said. "I want to take the visits because you’re only a senior one time. I just want a good experience. I was talking to some guys like Mike Davis and others. They said ‘Do everything that you can because it’s your senior year.’ I want to go ahead and do that and have fun with that. The colleges are paying for everything, so you might as well."
Wherever Matthews ends up, he likely has a wait before seeing serious playing time. As a four-star prospect, though, Bulldog fans certainly hope that time comes in Georgia.

Shaquille Fluker has become the Bulldogs' second commitment to the football program in as many days, with Georgia's defensive back total for the class of 2013 coming out to eight now. Paris Bostick of Tampa made his commitment to the Dawgs on Monday.
Fluker announced his decision on Tuesday, according to Dawgs247.com. He's the 26th commitment for the 2013 class.
With both starting safeties and two of the top cornerbacks for the Dawgs set to be done after the 2012 season, upgrading the secondary is going to be a serious need for Georgia. So it's understandable that they want to provide depth for the future.
Fluker comes from East Mississippi Community College and would have two years of eligibility, as well as one redshirt year available. He's also planning to help the Dawgs out by enrolling at the university in January, which helps because UGA is looking to sign up to 34 players this year. It can only do that as long as nine players enroll early, according to SEC signing rules.

The Georgia Bulldogs landed their third player from Plant High in Tampa after getting a commitment from safety Paris Bostick. The 2013 grad chose Georgia over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
A three-star recruit, Bostick measures at 6'1 and 217 pounds and is expected to add more muscle to his frame.
An in-the-box safety, Bostick is better against the run and short passes. His top speed is just average, thus exposing him on deeper routes. Downfield he is better suited for a zone coverage rather than lining up against a receiver and trying to stop him one-on-one.
Bostick also had offers from Louisville, South Florida and Rutgers.
He is the 25th Georgia recruit for 2013 and the third from Plant High. Previously, the Bulldogs have signed QB Aaron Murray and tight end Orson Charles.

If Trenton Brown ends up playing for the Georgia Bulldogs like The Telegraph is reporting he committed to on Friday, UGA can plan on giving SEC defensive lines fits in the coming years. Brown is a mammoth-sized lineman, standing at 6'9, 360 pounds, coming from Georgia Military College.
He told Dawgs247.com that he'd enroll at Georgia in January and play in the 2013 season. That gives the Dawgs 24 commitments for the 2013 class, and Brown is the fourth offensive lineman.
Brown will have two years left of eligibility, giving the Bulldogs some much-needed help from that position. The Bulldogs also have an enrollment goal which includes reaching up to 34 players in the 2013 class and Brown helps them get there.

Georgia picked up commitment No. 23 for its 2013 class on Sunday when tight end Jordan Davis picked the Bulldogs over Florida. Davis is a 6-foot-4, 220 pound tight end out of Thomson High School and pointed to the Bulldogs' history of turning out solid tight end prospects as part of the reasoning for his decision.
"Georgia is like Tight End U," Davis said. "I called Coach Richt and told him I wanted to be a Bulldog. I am already a Bulldog (at Thomson)...so it was perfect."
Davis also had considered South Carolina and had offers from NC State and Louisville. He received his offer from the Bulldogs during Mark Richt Camp in June. It was mostly because I felt at home at Georgia," Davis said. "Plus, Georgia just outmatched everybody else in everything, and my mom ... that was the place she liked the best. It's just an hour away from home."
Georgia's 23 commitments for 2013 trail only Texas A&M in the SEC. The Bulldogs are expected to take advantage of some early entry candidates and sign a large class in 2013 to help offset their well publicized roster attrition.

Five-star running back Derrick Henry will announce his college decision sometime next month. Henry had been committed to the Bulldogs for nearly a year before de-committing earlier this summer. Following that he declared Alabama as his new leader and listed Tennessee second and ahead of Georgia who was third.
Henry was in Athens for "Dawg Night" which was encouraging for Bulldogs fans but he once again reiterated that Alabama was his leader following the event. He had originally planned to make his announcement in December and then enroll early at his school of choice. However it now looks like he will make his announcement sometime next month.
The Bulldogs have struggled with running back recruits the last few seasons and that trend continued over the summer with the dismissal of Isaiah Crowell. The Bulldogs added two running backs in last year's recruiting class in Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley. They are also said to be after Alvin Kamara for this year's class.

Georgia Bulldogs verbal commitment Shaq Wiggins is saying that he is still fully committed to Georgia, but the cornerback is still planning on taking visits to other schools. Even though Wiggins is taking other visits he is trying to recruit one of the top uncommitted running back in Alvin Kamara to come to Georgia. Kamara has previously said that Georgia was in his top three schools when he was at Nike's The Opening recruiting event.
The two players are on the same 7-on-7 team this Gridiron Kings, and Wiggins would not give too much away as for what school Kamara was leaning to committing to.
While at the Gridiroin Kings event Wiggins discussed his recruiting so far as well as talking about all of the camps that he took part in this summer.

Shaun McGee accepted the scholarship offer he won from Dawg Night this past weekend. McGee chose the Bulldogs over the national champion Alabama Crimson Tide because it's closer to home for him and had this to say about the decision:
"I just feel like it's close to home here, but not only that - I felt like they're family at Georgia ... I got the family vibe," McGee told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
"I love what they're trying to do at Georgia. I'm just ready to get started. Not only that, but I can also get a world-class education here as well. It's just a win-win situation, playing for an elite team at an elite school with good academics. I just feel like I can't go wrong with Georgia."

Georgia picked up commitments from Quincey Mauger and Tim Kimbrough to run their list to 21 players for the 2013 class. Due to roster attrition over the last two seasons the Bulldogs are expected to add more than 30 players in the upcoming class as they take full advantage of early enroles

Five-star running back Derrick Henry is still keeping the Georgia Bulldogs among one of his schools of interest even though he de-committed back in June after took a visit to Alabama. Henry was among 175 high school athletes who were at Georgia's Dawg Night event, and he also stayed through the weekend.
While on campus, Henry spent time with cornerback Shaq Wiggins who has been committed to Georgia since February, defensive back Tray Matthews and was with various coaches.
Fox Sports recruiting analyst Chad Simmons who was on site to cover the event talked about how important it is to get the guys who are on the fence to make a visit to the campus:
"Just getting guys like Henry on campus and being around other commitments helps," Simmons said. "The opportunity to bond with each other, whether it be with other players or coaches, is big."
Even though Henry made the trip up from Yulee, Fla., and stayed the weekend he still has no immediate plans to announce where he will play college football next season.

The "Dawg Night" event for the Georgia Bulldogs was successful this year as they landed multiple recruits, and the 21st commit for Georgia came from linebacker Tim Kimbrough. Kimbrough is a 6-foot-1, 225-pound four-star recruit out of Indianpolis knew he wanted to attend Georgia and made his choice known to the coaches after the camp:
"I came down to Georgia this weekend with a plan to commit," Kimbrough said. "I knew when I first visited Georgia earlier this year that that's the school I wanted to go to. I loved everything about that first visit. They have great atmosphere, offer a great education and have a great football program."
Kimbrough had over 20 offers which included top teams as Penn State, Oklahoma, Florida, Michigan State, Nebraska and others. He is also listed as the No. 6 linebacker and the No. 137 rated player in the country, according to Rivals.
Here are highlights of Kimbrough:

Georgia got some good news prior to "Dawg Night" on Friday, as safety Quincy Mauger publicly announced his commitment to the Bulldogs.
Mauger committed to Georgia coach Mark Richt a week ago, but kept it a secret from his mother and the public until they drove to Athens for the "Dawg Night" recruiting event. He received an offer at a Georgia camp last month.
From the Atlanta Journal Constitution:
"I love the coaching staff at Georgia," Mauger said. "They are very well-connected with the kids. I got to sit down with an engineering professor, and we got to talking some about my decision and everything I needed to know when it comes to engineering. I'm going to major in engineering.
"I picked Georgia because it has everything I need to be successful with academics and on the football. It's a great opportunity, and I took it"

College football prospects will have the chance to impress local colleges and be discovered this weekend at Georgia's football camp. Rico Johnson, a wide receiver from Swainsboro High School, committed on the spot to UGA after being offered at Mark Richt Camp.
Richt views this as an opportunity to really learn about a prospects work ethic:
"You do learn a lot about a kid at these camps, and how he'll compete," Richt said. "You know, there's going to be the Michael Bennetts of the world. He shows up, he kind of matches up with some of the best DB's on our recruiting board, and he has a field day, you know? It was like ‘This guy is a player, and we've got to get this guy.'
"So there's still some guys that will pop up and get on the radar that maybe didn't have an offer going into camp. But a lot of them have been offered by us already. Another thing, too, is that you just don't have upcoming seniors at these camps. You've got juniors and sophomores. You get to see a lot of you talent, too, that will allow you to put them on your recruiting board early."

Georgia fans began the day hoping to see Reuben Foster flip his commitment from Alabama but they weren't looking for him to commit to another western division rival. Foster confirmed just that at a 3 p.m. news conference at his school when he announced that he was now committed to Auburn.
While this deal might not be finished yet it may be hard to gain the upper hand on the Tigers. Foster had visited Georgia twice this summer and had told everyone that he intended to play football next season with his good friend Tray Matthews who is currently committed to the Bulldogs. Matthews recently reaffirmed his commitment to the Bulldogs so there may still be a chance yet for Georgia.

While the Robert Nkemdiche saga continues to play out, the nation's second overall prospect, linebacker Reuben Foster, is set to hold a press conference at his current high school on Thursday, likely deciding between Georgia, Alabama and... Auburn?
Foster has been verbally committed "100 percent" to Alabama, has been "flirting" with Georgia over the past year, as well as Auburn. Why Auburn, all of a sudden? As the AJC's Michael Carvell, explains, a key location change in Foster's high school might have swung his commitment from one arch rival to another:
It was after Foster transferred from Troup High School because his coach was fired, eventually landing – out of all places — at Auburn High School. The son of Auburn University’s best recruiter, Trooper Taylor, plays football at Auburn High School – basically giving the elder Taylor unlimited access to communicate with Foster under NCAA rules.
Hm. "Unlimited access" would certainly help.

Georgia earned a commitment from 4-star linebacker Naim Mustaffa out of Alpharetta last month, and while the prospect will attend Friday's "Dawg Night" camp on the UGA campus, the AJC's Michael Carvell reports he'll leave immediately after to visit Tennessee, before heading west to check out other top programs, including USC, Nebraska and Oklahoma State:
When asked to put a percentage on his commitment to UGA, Mustafaa replied, "I couldn’t put a percentage on it. That’s where I want to go. It’s pretty strong. It took a lot for me to commit there, so I doubt I will have any change of mind.
"Still, I plan to go on these official visits, have fun, and go with an open mind."
Here's some comfort for UGA fans - Mustaffa committed to the Dawgs despite being the son of former Georgia Tech star Najee Mustaffa, and being recruited hard by the Yellow Jackets.

Former Georgia verbal commitment Derrick Henry, a five-star running back from Yulee, Fla., has been considered a loss for the Bulldogs since he dropped UGA and named Alabama as his leader following a visit this spring. However, as the AJC's Michael Carvell reports, Henry is expected to attend "Dawg Night," a camp for prospects on Georgia's campus. This would be the first time Henry's been back to the UGA campus since de-committing, and would give Georgia a solid chance to make up ground on the Tide:
After de-committing from UGA last month, some speculated that Henry would’ve committed to Alabama by now, or at least focus his sole attention on the Crimson Tide. There were some doubts that Henry would even show up on UGA’s campus again after the change of heart.
But Henry said he will be at "Dawg Night" – giving UGA’s coaches a prime opportunity to court him again.

SB Nation went to the Nike headquarters in Oregon and Bud Elliot had a chance to evaluate a host of top high school prospects. Among them was Alvin Kamara or Norcoss.
Kamara is a four-star recruit and considered to be an all-purpose back. Here is Elliot's evaluation from the Nike showcase:
Alvin Kamara, Norcoss (GA) -- He showed the versatility to stretch the field vertically and finish plays, becoming a favored target for his quarterback Max Browne.
Kamara gave this quote, via CBSSports.com:
"That's basically what coach (Dan) Hawkins wanted to do, get me and Ryan Green on the same team and work it," Kamara said. "It's kind of formed around me and him, the two running backs. We're getting some good looks, getting the ball and catching it. We have great receivers outside too with Alvin Bailey from Florida and a few other guys that are real good too."

ESPN 300 cornerback and Georgia Bulldogs verbal commitment Reggie Wilkerson has made it clear that he is completely sold on his commitment to Georgia. Wilkerson plans to be down in Athens for Dawg Night, and staying he is also scheduled to participate in Gridiron Kings at the end of July.
Wilkerson went as far as to cut off communication from any schools over the past few weeks:
Wilkerson also says that he has cut off communications with any other school since the middle of June and is completely focused on his future at Georgia.
"I just to end any sort of speculation because I'm happy with Georgia and they have been with me from the start," Wilkerson said. "I want to just focus on my future as a Bulldog."

Nike's recruiting extravaganza known as The Opening has attracted top talent to the Nike campus where recruits are competing in 7-on-7s and drills to size up where they belong. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound McNeil is currently a four-star recruit per Rivals and has over 20 scholarship offers.
SB Nation's recruiting analyst Bud Elliot is on the scene at Beaverton, Ore., and talked with McNeil about his recruitment and how he was doing at The Opening:
"Alabama, Miami, Georgia, Florida and Washington State," he said, adding that the schools were not in any order.
While McNeil cited the opportunity to play right away and NFL development at the former four schools, the connection with Washington State is based on a personal relationship.
"I was an East Carolina commitment for a while, but my recruiter coach left for Washington State. I want to give them a shot," he said.
McNeil has visited Alabama and Georgia. He plans to visit Florida and Miami in July. McNeil is slated to take an official to Washington State.
Here are highlights of McNeil as a junior:

The biggest recruiting event this week is Nike's 'The Opening' and it is featuring a lot of the top recruits from all across the country. These events allow for reporters to get some more insight on what recruits are planning to do in regards to where they will play college football.
Alvin Kamara is a four-star running back out of Norcross, Ga., and he spoke with 247Sports recruiting analyst Keith Niebuhr about his top teams, and Kamara said his top three teams in no order are the Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs.
Kamara went onto say that the most important thing he is looking for in a school is to get along well with the coaching staff. He plans to make a decision soon about where he will play college in 2013.

University of Georgia safety commitment Tray Matthews says that he is "100 percent" committed to the Bulldogs while talking with 247sports at The Opening in Beverton, Oregon.
Matthews has been committed to the Bulldogs for some time but recent comments by fellow recruit Reuben Foster raised questions as to how solid Matthews commitment was with the Bulldogs. Foster recently visited the Bulldogs for a second time and left saying that he was 100 percent sure that he would play his college ball with his good friend Tray Matthews.
That fueled speculation that Foster, an Alabama commit, was contemplating a flip to Georgia. However, that hasn't happened yet and Foster says that he is still solid with Alabama. That casts the light back on Matthews and has many wondering if he would goto Alabama with Foster. As you can see in the video it appears that both friends are working on each other and it may be some time before we figure out how this situation will shake out.

Reuben Foster is among 12 state of Georgia prospects that is in Beaverton, Oregon for The Opening which is an elite level football camp for the top prospects in the nation.
Foster is on the sidelines at The Opening after suffering a hamstring while running the 40-yard dash on Friday. While there Foster took the time to reaffirm his commitment to Alabama to 247sports writer Keith Niebuhr.
The story is relevant to the Bulldogs because Foster recently said that he would be playing in college with his good friend Tray Matthews who is also at The Opening and is a current Georgia commitment. This fueled speculation that Foster was going to flip to UGA and it still is a possibility but now perhaps the Bulldogs should be a little worried about Matthews.

Foster is among the top recruits in the nation and remains committed to Alabama although there is some rumblings that a switch to Georgia might be in the cards. He was taking part in The Opening which is an elite football recruit camp which has brought together many of the top 2013 prospects in the nation as well as some of the top underclassmen.
Foster apparently suffered some sort of hamstring injury and probably won't be able to participate any further in the event.

Central Gwinnett High School's Trey Johnson will visit Georgia on as part of its annual prospect camp on July 13 and could finally receive a scholarship offer from the Bulldogs. Johnson is currently committed to Auburn and has been since last summer but plans on taking all of his official visits during his senior year and wants to be thorough in his decision.
Bulldogs linebacker coach Kirk Olivadotti was just hired when Johnson was committing to Auburn so he therefore never got an opportunity to evaluate him. That is the reason Georgia never came with a scholarship offer. Johnson grew up in Georgia and the Bulldogs were originally his favorite school. If an offer comes now it is unknown whether or not that will make a difference to Johnson.
"I don't know if it would make a difference," Johnson said. "We've just got to wait and see ... I would have to think hard about it if Georgia offered."

Reuben Foster is one of the top football recruits in both the state of Georgia and the country and for the moment at least remains committed to Alabama. However, Mark Richt and Georgia may have reason for hope after a recent trip to Athens by Foster where he declared that he would be playing college ball alongside good friend Tray Matthews who is currently committed to the Bulldogs.
"Me and Tray are going to play together 100% in college,"
Foster also called the trip to Athens "awesome" and that he hung out with current Bulldogs Jarvis Jones, Alec Ogletree and Alexander Ogletree.
"The visit right here was awesome man," said Foster. "They showed me out up there, I didn't really even go out, just everywhere I went. It was a wonderful trip man."

Sandy Creek High's Shaq Wiggins remains committed to the Georgia Bulldogs but he is keeping his options open and continuing to talk to other schools. However despite recent internet speculation Wiggins says that he doesn't play on de-committing from the Bulldogs anytime soon.
"I'm still looking at schools and stuff like that. But I haven't de-committed yet. Well, I'm not de-committing any time soon."
Georgia fans are a little on edge regarding recruiting after the de-committal of Derrick Henry and wide receiver Kyrin Priester. The Bulldogs got off to a quick start in recruiting and are expected to sign a very large class. Wiggins says that he is 95 percent committed to the Bulldogs and for now Georgia will have to live that as the recruiting process continues up through signing day.

Norcross running back Alvin Kamara trimmed his list of potential college destinations to 10 on Wednesday. Kamara is a 4-star recruit according to Rivals.com and listed Georgia alongside Alabama, Florida State, Florida and Auburn. He is also considering Clemson, Oregon, Oklahoma State, USC and Tennessee.
"As far as visits go, I want to try and make it to each of the schools in my top 10 this summer, and my decision will come after I evaluate each option thoroughly. I just want to make sure I make the best choice for me."
The Bulldogs only running back commitment Derrick Henry recently de-committed so that is likely to raise the interest that UGA has in Kamara. Here is a look at some of Kamara's highlights while at Norcross during his junior season.

The Georgia Bulldogs had a rough week after two players de-committed from their 2013 class, but on Saturday they got some good news when Swainsboro, Ga., wide receiver Rico Johnson verbally committed to Georgia. Johnson has been under the radar since he had to sit out his sophomore season since he transferred schools, and prior to attending the Georgia camp he had no offers.
Johnson was at Georgia's camp on Saturday and was offered a scholarship as a wide receiver. It did not take Johnson long to say yes to Georgia head coach Mark Richt:
Toward the end of camp, UGA coach Mark Richt called Johnson over to speak. "He said ‘How would you like to be a Dawg?' It made me cry. I went over and talked to my coach and my mom. Then I went back over to Coach Richt and gave him my full commitment to be a Dawg. He gave me a hug and said ‘Welcome to the Dawg family.'"
Johnson is also a track star who won the AA Georgia state champion in the 100-meter dash and finished second in the 200 meters. At Saturday's camp, Johnson ran an unofficial time of 4.25 and 4.28 seconds in his 40-yard dash.

Georgia Bulldogs recruiting took another hit this week with the decommitment of wide receiver Kyrin Priester, who reportedly changed his mind on the Dawgs as Fletcher Page reports at georgia.scout.com.
Priester, out of Snellville, GA, is rated a three-star by Rivals and also has offers from TCU and Vanderbilt at this point.
2013 WR Kyrin Priester has decommitted from #UGA, according to Brookwood assistant coach William Lee.

The Dawgs already lost four-star running back Derrick Henry earlier in the week, and also missed out on Robert Nkemdiche. As SB Nation college football editor notes, though, the Dawgs already have at least three receivers within the 18 commits that are still strong.

Loganville's Robert Nkemdiche surprised the college recruiting landscape by committing to the Clemson Tigers on Thursday.

Running back Derrick Henry at one point was committed to the University of Georgia. Please note the past tense, as Henry has decided to decommit from Georgia after visiting good old Nick Saban and the University of Alabama.
Last week, SB Nation's recruiting analyst Bud Elliot said this of Henry:
Henry seems dead set on playing running back, so any school looking to sway him from Georgia must convince him that it wants him at running back and will not move him to tight end or defense.
Henry is a consensus four-star recruit and one of the top athletes in the country. With Alabama and Georgia firmly in the mix to land the top class in the country, Henry's commitment could be the difference on National Signing Day.
As Jason Kirk pointed out, Henry hasn't formally announced that he'll attend Alabama, but it looks like an increasingly likely event.

The Georgia Bulldogs picked up recruit No. 20 on Saturday night in Alpharetta, Ga. outside linebacker Naim Mustafaa. Mustafaa is listed at 6-foot-4, 235-pounds and is a four-star recruit who had over 30 offers, but the two schools that it ultimately came down to were Georgia and Georgia Tech.
Mustafaa said that it was not an easy decision to make in picking Georgia over Georgia Tech:
"Both schools did such a good job and it was such a hard decision to make," said Mustafaa. "Both defenses are great fits for me, and I really liked both schools, but I just wanted to play for Coach (Todd) Grantham's defense. It is so explosive, and I feel I fit perfect in that defense."
[...]
"I'm a Bulldog and I'm really excited to get in there," Mustafaa said. "I can't wait to be a part of a great defense and I think there is going to be a lot of winning going forward. I can't wait to play out there in front of 80 or 90 thousand fans. That is one of the best things about playing football and I know we won't be playing in front of empty seats at Georgia."
The decision came when Mustafaa was on campus on Saturday, but he knew before his trip he was going to commit to Georgia but he wanted to tell the coaches in person.
Here is a scouting report on Mustafaa:
Mustafaa has tremendous length and uses it well. His long arms and long, flexible torso allow him to keep blockers at bay until he finds the ball and separate from that block after the ball is located. Those long arms will also help him create havoc on the edge at the next level in Georgia's 3-4 defense as it will be tough to throw outside of the hash marks to his size due to his length and athleticism.
One thing that really stands out about Mustafaa on film is the way he closes on the football. He has an excellent ability to explode once he zeros in on the ball carrier and that kind of explosion will help him cause turnovers in the future.
Mustafaa also possesses an excellent ability to move laterally and string plays out so that help defenders can close. He understands lateral leverage very well and rarely loses containment when he is given that responsibility.
Lastly, Mustafaa is relentless. Whether he is knocked down during a play, loses balance, or gets blocked, he never gives up on the play and will often make plays down the field with energy and hustle.
Mustafaa is the first linebacker that Georgia has earned a verbal commitment from.

After a few down seasons following the departures of Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno to the NFL, Mark Richt appears to have found his groove again at Georgia, something reflected in the early rankings for the 2013 recruiting cycle:
Last June, Georgia was sitting at three commitments, its recruiting efforts hindered by rumors of coach Mark Richt's being on the hot seat. After a 10-win season, the defending SEC East champions are big Dawgs once again on the recruiting trail, already matching last year's total number of signees with 19 commitments.
Richt has been able to make inroads in Georgia this cycle, as the state, surrounded by SEC schools on all sides, is perennially one of the biggest recruiting battlegrounds in the country.
However, while a No. 5 ranking should make Bulldogs fans happy, Florida is still ranked No. 2 and Alabama is at No. 3. That's life in the SEC, as the conference has three schools in the top 5, four in the top 10, five in the top 15 and seven in the top 25.

It's unclear how the rest of the 2013 recruiting class will take shape for Georgia, but if there's one thing that is for certain it is that the Bulldogs plan on being deep at wide receiver in the near future.
On Sunday, Georgia added its fourth receiver to the 2013 class when it landed four-star recruit Reggie Davis. He chose Georgia over Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee and Ohio State.
Davis, who is from Florida and is known for his speed, made his head coach very happy, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
"Coach [Mark Richt] screamed when I told him … He said I made his weekend," Davis told the AJC.
The other three receivers that will join Davis are Uriah LeMay from North Carolina, Tramel Terry from South Carolina and Kyrin Priester from Georgia.
Davis gives the Bulldogs 19 recruits for 2013.
Georgia picked up commitment No. 18 on Friday when Matthews, North Carolina wideout Uriah LeMay picked the Bulldogs over Ohio State, Oklahoma and a host of other schools. LeMay is the brother of Bulldogs' quarterback Christian LeMay and is a 4-star wide receiver.
At 6-foot-2, 200 pounds LeMay has a big body for the receiver spot and uses it to his advantage to help shield off defenders. He and his brother Christian played for Butler high school in 2009 and could eventually end up on the field together in Athens.
"We had to do it in [high school] practice a little while ago; I don't think the chemistry has lost its step ... we've been working out a little bit over the years," Uriah said at the ceremony. "We'll have to see how it goes [at Georgia]."
Georgia now has 18 commitments for its 2013 class. The Bulldogs are expected to sign as many as 30 players next February.

While the Bulldogs have picked up a couple of commitments in the last week they could be on the verge of losing one. 5-star running back Derrick Henry is still committed to the Bulldogs but may be considering flipping to Alabama after acknowledging that he will take a visit to Tuscaloosa on June 8. Henry has also indicated that his commitment to the Bulldogs isn't as solid as it once was.
"I started talking to my coach. We had a serious talk. We talked about the positives of Alabama. We feel like Alabama is the place to go ... I am not saying my coaches are swaying me to go to Alabama. They are not doing that at all. We are just laying out everything. The fact Alabama has coach [Nick Saban] and all the things they bring to the table really sticks out to me."
If Henry does pick the Tide he will be the third running back commitment for their 2013 class which sounds like a less than ideal situation for a player looking for early playing time. Of course with Isaiah Crowell, Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley the situation might not look any better in Athens.

Georgia landed commitment No. 17 for its 2013 class when 4-star offensive lineman Brandon Kublanow picked the Bulldogs from about 20 total offers. Kublanow is the third offensive lineman to commit to the Bulldogs in their 2013 class.
"I called Coach (Mark) Richt and committed to him Tuesday night," Kublanow told Scout.com. "I actually called Coach (Will) Friend first, and I told him that I was ready. He was excited and Coach Richt was too when I told him."
Kublanow is expected to play guard or center for the Bulldogs. He joins fellow commitments Josh Cardiello and Aulden Bynum as offensive lineman in Georgia's 2013 class. The Bulldogs are expected to sign as many as 30 players in 2013 and is off to a great start and trails only Michigan for the most commitments in the country for 2013.

Buford offensive lineman Josh Cardiello became commitment No. 16 for the Bulldogs' 2013 class on Saturday as the 6-foot-4, 280 pound center made it official.
Cardiello is rated as a 3-star prospect and had offers from a number of schools including Florida, Florida State and South Carolina.
"I have committed to Georgia," Josh Cardiello told Scout.com. "Georgia is the best fit for me in every aspect. I like the opportunities I will have there. I get along with the coaches great. It is not far from home, and it just felt right for me when I was there."
Cardiello is the second offensive line recruit to commit for Georgia's 2013 class.
Here is a look at Georgia's current commitments for 2013:
1. Josh Cardiello Offensive Lineman
2. Reggie Wilkerson Defensive Back
3. JJ Green Athlete
4. Reggie Carter Linebacker
5. Ryne Rankin Linebacker

Robert Nkemdiche, the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2013, has postponed his decision about where he'll be playing his college football, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
"I’m just not ready yet," Nkemdiche said. "This is one of the biggest decisions of my life. I want to go see some new places, and go back to some other places to spend more time with the coaches and to check out the campuses. It’s a big decision, and I want to get it right."
Nkemdiche originally had planned to announce on May 18, but he will now likely wait until National Signing Day in February.
A defensive end from Grayson High School in Georgia, Nkemdiche is currently considering Alabama, Ole Miss, Clemson, Georgia and LSU. However, he has said he has no favorites at this time.

One of the top-rated high school prospects in the class of 2013 has released his top-five list, and Georgia is near the top.
Laremy Tunsil, a 6'6 295 OT from Lake City, Florida, is a five-star prospect with scholarship offers from nearly every top school in the country.
On Wednesday, he talked to SB Nation recruiting expert Bud Elliott, telling him that Florida, Georgia, LSU, Alabama and Oklahoma were currently his top five choices.
Tunsil has already visited home-state schools Florida and Florida State and he plans on checking out most of his top five, although dates have not been scheduled yet.
Elliott's sources think that the Gators and the Bulldogs are the early front-runners for Tunsil, which should be an interesting test for Mark Richt in terms of how he competes on the recruiting trail with new Florida coach Will Muschamp.

The Georgia Bulldogs are still preparing for the 2012 football season, but they have already received several commitments from prospects for the 2013 campaign. It appears that they've already done a fine job of recruiting for next year.
ESPNU has released their list of the top 150 prospects in the class of 2013. Several of the names on the list have already made commitments to UGA.
Georgia's top recruit to date is No. 45 Derrick Henry, a four-star athlete from Yulee, FL. Close behind Henry is No. 47, Tramel Terry, an athlete from Goose Creek, SC.
Shaq Wiggins appears on the list at No. 86. He's a cornerback from Tyrone, GA who attends Sandy Creek High School. Quarterback Brice Ramsey of Kingsland, GA is No. 110. No. 116 is Tray Matthews, a safety from Newnan, GA. Rounding out the list of commits (for the time being) is No. 148 Johnny O'Neal, an inside linebacker from Dublin, GA.

Georgia got some more good recruiting news during shortly before its G-Day game when Florida defensive back Reggie Wilkerson picked the Bulldogs over South Carolina, Clemson and others. Wilkerson becomes Georgia's 15th commitment for its 2013 class.
Wilkerson is a 6-foot, 175 pound corner who becomes the Bulldogs' fourth or fifth commitment that will get a look in the secondary. The Bulldogs went into this recruiting period with rebuilding the secondary as a priority and are well on their way to achieving that goal. Wilkerson is rated as a three-star talent by Rivals.com and had offers from Clemson, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M among others.
Wilkerson joins Shaq Wiggins Tramel Terry, J.J. Green and Steven Nelson as those players committed that could get a look in the secondary. The Bulldogs are expected to add as many as 30 new players in 2013 provided there are enough early enroll candidates.

Camden County's J.J. Green becomes Georgia's 14 commitment and second of the day for its 2013 recruiting class. Carter picked the Bulldogs over Georgia Tech, Stanford, Duke and Mississippi State.
Green is a 5-foot-9, 180 pound wide receiver/defensive back who is rated as a three-star recruit by 247sports.com. Green is the high school teammate of fellow Georgia Football commit Brice Ramsey. Green is the Bulldogs' second commitment of the day with South Gwinnett High's Reggie Carter having pledged earlier.
If Green plays wide receiver then he would join Tramel Terry and Kyrin Priester in the 2013 class. Like Green, Terry also plays defensive back and could line up on the defensive side of the field once he arrives in Athens.
Georgia is well on its way with its 2013 class having picked up three commitments last Friday and two more today. The Bulldogs are expected to sign as many as 30 players come February provided there are enough early enroll candidates to let them reach that number.

Georgia picked up commitment No. 13 on Monday when South Gwinnett High's Reggie Carter picked the Bulldogs over South Carolina, Florida State and others. Carter is a 6-foot-1, 220 pound linebacker who missed almost his entire junior season with a torn ACL.
Carter is back to full strength now and is poised for a big season for South Gwinnett. He becomes the Bulldogs' third linebacker commitment for Georgia's constantly growing 2013 class. He joins Orlando's Ryne Rankin and West Lauren's Johnny O'Neil.
Carter could likely play either inside or outside linebacker at Georgia. By all accounts, Carter is hard working and possesses many of the strong character traits of a distinguished leader. He currently isn't rated very high by a lot of recruiting services due to missing the entire 2011 season with an injury but should move up significantly this season.

The Georgia Bulldogs saw a flurry of recruiting action on Friday receiving commitments from three more upcoming seniors.
Kyrin Priester was the first to pledge his commitment on Friday becoming the second wide receiver in the 2013 class. Priester is 6-foot-2 and will play this season for Brookwood High School in Snellville after recently moving from the Orlando area.
A little later in the afternoon Ryne Rankin became the Bulldogs eleventh commitment for the 2013 class. Rankin is a 6-foot-1, 230 pound inside linebacker who is described as a good tackler with a nose for the football.
Georgia capped off the day by receiving its third commitment this time from Valdosta area product Aulden Bynum. Bynum is a 6-foot-5, 270 pound offensive lineman is the Bulldogs first line commitment for its 2013 class.

Georgia capped off a busy recruiting day by once again tapping into the Valdosta pipeline and securing a 2013 commitment from Valwood School product Aulden Bynum. A three-star prospect according to Rivals.com, Bynum is a 6-foot-5, 270-pound offensive lineman.
Bynum reportedly had offers from several SEC schools including Auburn, Mississippi, Mississippi State and South Carolina. Bynum is the latest Valdosta area prospect to join the Bulldogs and cited a love of the Bulldogs program as the reason for his commitment over the other schools.
"I grew up a fan and that is where I wanted to be," Bynum said. "I love Athens and I love the University of Georgia."
Bynum joins the likes of Jay Rome and Malcolm Mitchell who were a part of the 2010 Dream Team class and class of 2011 signee Josh Harvey-Clemons.

Orlando area linebacker Ryne Rankin became UGA's eleventh commitment for the 2013 class after he was offered earlier in the week. Rankin is the second commitment today for the Bulldogs following wide receiver Kyrin Priester.
LB Ryne Rankin just confirmed that he did indeed just commit to UGA. That's the second commitment today for the Bulldogs.
— Dawgs247 (@Dawgs247) April 6, 2012
Rankin is a 6-foot-1, 230-pound linebacker who was rated as the No. 6 LB in Florida and the No. 56 player overall. He is described as an exceptional tackler with a nose for the football and had taken visits to NC State, Penn State and Tennessee among others. He selected the Bulldogs after receiving at least a dozen offers from the likes of Louisville, Cincinnati, NC State and Kansas.

Kyrin Priester became commitment No. 10 for the class of 2013 for Mark Richt and the Georgia Bulldogs. Priester is a 6-foot-2, 185 pound wide receiver who selected the Bulldogs over Vanderbilt and TCU.
Priester and his family recently moved from the Orlando area to Brookwood High School in Atlanta. He reportedly picked the Bulldogs because of the Christian beliefs of Mark Richt while also being a big fan of A.J. Green.
"I committed to Georgia because I like Coach Richt being a great Christian because I'm a believer, too," Priester said. "Also, it was because Georgia needs receivers, I'm a good fit for them and they like me."
As a junior Priester totaled 31 catches for 565 yards and five touchdowns after missing the first five games of the season with a fractured fibula. He is rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com.
Here is a look at his highlight tape from the 2011 season:

The state of Georgia has a top-heavy presence in this year's football recruiting class, boasting the top two prospects in every major recruiting service's rankings. The latest, 247 Sports', features Grayson DE Robert Nkemdiche and Lagrange LB Reuben Foster up top, as is custom. But the Peach State fares even better in the rest of the upper crust here than on other lists.
Cracking the top 10 here is Vienna DT Montravius Adams, with Rossville S Vonn Bell showing up at No. 24. In all, more than one tenth of the list hails from Georgia.
Georgia Bulldogs commit Derrick Henry, an athlete from Florida, ranks No. 12 overall, and two other Dawgs commits show up in the top 80. Another two rank in the top 150. The, like, whole rest of the thing is all Alabama, Texas and Michigan, or so it appears. No surprise there.

Grayson's Robert Nkemdiche, the nation's No. 1 2013 recruit, has long been a presumed Alabama Crimson Tide commit. Whether Nkemdiche himself knows it or not, you see, because he's a highly heralded recruit in the Southeast, and thus will almost certainly end up at Bama.
But according to his high school coach, that's not quite the case any more:
"You know, at one time, I think that [Alabama being the leader] was the case," he said. "But he's got five schools, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU and Ole Miss and I think he'd be happy at any one of those five."
The Georgia Bulldogs offer the chance to stay home, while the Mississippi Rebels could pair him with his older brother. Of course, it would not be surprising at all to see him announce for Bama when the time comes in May.
Either way, his top five has been reduced from eight to five (stay with me), and UGA's still in the running.
The saga of Robert Nkemdiche, the nation's best prospect in the 2013 college football signing class, won't drag on through the summer, fall and into February of next year, according to Nkemdiche himself, who told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution he'll make an announcement May 18 as to where he'll be playing his college football.
Nkemdiche returned home from a visit to Baton Rogue to tour the campus of LSU, and set his top five teams headed into the decision as (in no order): LSU, Clemson, Georgia, Ole Miss and Alabama. Nkemdiche also said he likely won't make a planned visit to Vanderbilt March 31, but could possibly re-visit UGA and Clemson for their spring practices in the coming weeks.
"I’m ready to commit because I know where I want to go," Nkemdiche said. "I feel like I’ve seen all the places I needed to see, and talked to all the coaches everywhere.
"I don’t feel any need to wait any later than the spring. I’m ready to get it over with, and then I can focus on other things … my senior year of high school, my schoolwork, and helping Grayson try to win the state championship again."

Goose Creek, S.C. wide receiver and cornerback Tramel Terry has affirmed his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs after backing off, according to multiple reports. He's rated a four-star by Rivals and is ranked among the top 150 recruits in the country.

Terry committed to UGA at Dawg Night 2011, but decided to take a look around after that. Bringing him back aboard would give the Dawgs eight commits for 2013. He'd still be the first wide receiver in the class, though if he were to decide to play both ways a la Brandon Boykin and Malcolm Mitchell, he could be counted as DB commit No. 4.
He had offers from all across the Southeast and as far away as the USC Trojans and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. At 6' tall and 190 pounds, he's the kind of speed guy that Aaron Murray's eventual successor could use.

The nation's No. 1 player in the class of 2013, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, has already made a slew of visits to a few different schools in the southeast in the last few months. The senior pass-rusher seems to have narrowed down his top schools list to six, but if you hear it from him then he only has his "top 5."
No order , Lsu uga Alabama clemson ole miss Florida top 5 right now where my fans at ??

The Ole Miss Rebels and Alabama Crimson Tide are seen to have the inside track on having Nkemdiche take his prospective talents to their campus. Ole Miss currently has Nkemdiche's brother on the football team and could be starting on the Rebels secondary this fall. Alabama has started targeting Nkemdiche and will look to have him visit later this spring.
The local product is from Loganville, and the drive from his hometown to Athens is just 36 miles away to the Georgia Bulldogs campus. Campus proximity a plus, maybe?

Robert Nkemdiche, the nation's best prospect in the 2013 class of college football prospects (which earns you a Wikipedia page before your 18th birthday) has sort of narrowed his favorite schools down to a Top 5, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
"In no particular order, my Top 5 is Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, Clemson … and, um, I like South Carolina, and I’m going to visit Florida and Florida State," Nkemdiche told the AJC on Sunday night.
HEY NOW THAT'S NOT FIVE, but OK. Clearly, it's far too early in what's sure to be an absolutely tumultuous process for all involved for Nkemdiche to even pare the list down to five schools. It's safe to assume that Alabama is the stalwart, Georgia has an edge thanks to the backyard advantage, and Ole Miss will hang on throughout the year because his brother Denzel will likely be a starter in the defensive backfield for the Rebels.
Some concern arose initially when a barrage of recruiting writers pressed Nkemdiche for his favorites and he didn't include UGA, but he's since had contact with Mark Richt and plans to take an unofficial visit to Athens. He's next scheduled to visit LSU and Vanderbilt.

The Georgia Bulldogs reportedly picked up their first defensive lineman for the 2013 class in Northgate (Newnan) defensive tackle DeAndre Johnson, who's rated a three-star by 247sports and unrated by Rivals and Scout. He stands 6'3 and weighs 310. He also claimed offers from South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech, among others.

With both Kwame Geathers and John Jenkins departing over the next two seasons, the Dawgs will have to keep bringing in interior line beef to keep that elite run defense intact. The Dawgs are now up to seven commits for the 2013 class, with Junior Day visits still ahead. Five of the seven are defensive commits, and Todd Grantham's definitely getting his way early on.
Also, he apparently goes by "Moose":

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has come up with a mighty charming pickup line. When Georgia Bulldogs defensive back commit Shaq Wiggins visited Tuscaloosa over the weekend, Saban told him, "I'll offer you a scholarship to Alabama if you commit today," as Wiggins told the AJ-C.
Sort of like telling a lady, "I'll propose if you'll accept," but at least a little bit more romantic.
Wiggins has become a popular prospect since being offered by the Dawgs. He has a long offer sheet that includes the Auburn Tigers, Clemson Tigers, and Ohio St. Buckeyes, but remains unrated by most recruiting services so far. Keeping him around is big, as UGA is looking to rebuild a secondary that was depleted by a burst of early attrition.

The Georgia Bulldogs have a shortcoming at defensive back after losing a pair from the secondary already this offseason. They know this at least as well as you do, and their 2013 recruiting class is already addressing the issue. The latest commit, JUCO transfer Steven Nelson, tells Scout he expects to play corner and return punts after enrolling in December.
UGA wants him to redshirt, but that remains to be seen.
Nelson was named an All-Middle Georgia return man at Warner Robins' Northside and an all-region defensive back, at one point being listed as a Carson-Newman signee before playing for the College of the Sequoias in California as a freshman. He's listed as recording 29 tackles, two picks, six pass break-ups, and 107 yards on two kick returns for the Giants.
He describes himself as a lifelong UGA fan, with Houston and Middle Tennessee also offering. Cal, Utah, and Colorado were also reportedly interested.
The list of Georgia's 2013 commits, at least until Shaq Wiggins gazes down at Nick Saban's face:

Georgia Bulldogs commit Shaq Wiggins, a 5'10 defensive back from Sandy Creek who's been in the boat all of two weeks, is taking a visit to the Alabama Crimson Tide, along with a pair of teammates. Everybody absolutely lose your minds at this unprecedented development! Recruits taking visits 11 months out!

Best-case scenario: Wiggins is enjoying a trip with some friends. Worst-case: Nick Saban just gives up scouting players himself and waits for UGA to get commits of their own first, which he can then swipe. The real answer is probably closer to the best-case than to the worst, and see how happy we are about all this now? I mean, of course he's probably going to end up at Bama, he's a football player.

Grayson's Robert Nkemdiche, the nation's No. 1 recruit, will reportedly attend the Mississippi Rebels' Junior Day this weekend. He could probably tour the country attending Junior Days every weekend if he so chose, but this one is especially newsy as his brother Denzel Nkemdiche plays in Oxford.

While hope remains slim for anybody besides the Alabama Crimson Tide, and slimmer still for programs that don't exactly crack the national top 10, it's still noteworthy, and has thus been noted. The Georgia Bulldogs missed out on a leg up in the great Nkemdiche derby by not offering Denzel, a former UGA supporter who also hails from the Peach State.
Nkemdiche the younger's mere presence on campus will actually be a boost for the Rebels. I mean, here we are talking about Ole Miss recruiting. But one shouldn't expect any big news to come of it.
Robert Nkemdiche, considered the nation's top recruit for the 2013 class, visited Georgia over the weekend. He enjoyed his time and even though the Bulldogs haven't cracked his top-five schools, which are thought to be Alabama, Oregon, LSU, Florida and Florida State, Nkemdiche said he will stay in contact with the school.
However, the Bulldogs may have missed a golden opportunity to have an inside track on bringing in the 6-foot-5, 270-pound defensive end by not showing more interest in his older brother, Denzel Nkemdiche, who just wrapped up his freshman season at Ole Miss. Even though Denzel made it known he wanted to be a Bulldog, Georgia didn't show much interest until it was too late.
When asked if it would have made a difference in Robert's feelings about Georgia, he said it would have.
"Yes, that would've made a difference for me with Georgia," Robert Nkedmiche said. "I never really understood it. Georgia just waited too long and [Denzel] went ahead and signed with Ole Miss. But I like Georgia. It's fine that my brother is not there. I still like Georgia."
Georgia tried to make up for it by offering a scholarship to one of Robert's teammates, Wayne Gallman, but it may be too little, too late. Robert and Denzel's mother would like to see the two brothers play football together again in college and Robert is visiting Ole Miss soon.

According to Dawg Post's Chad Simmons, Sandy Creek High School cornerback Shaq Wiggins has committed to the University of Georgia for the 2013 season.
Wiggins, who stands at 5-foot-10, weighs in at 160 pounds and has a 40-yard dash time of 4.49, and is considered a cover corner, which is something the Bulldogs will need in 2013. Four starters will be graduating in the secondary after the 2012 season and two freshmen have been dismissed from the team.
Wiggins' strengths are considered his coverage awareness, his anticipation and his hands and needs work on his backpedal quickness, his ability to jam receivers at the line and his size could be a problem. Wiggins is listed as a four-star recruit and schools including Cincinnati, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ohio State, Tennessee and Wake Forest reportedly offered him scholarships.

Georgia's next recruiting class should be expected to include receivers, defensive backs and at least one big defensive lineman.

UGA's 2013 recruiting class already includes commitments from three members of the Rivals 250 list.

The 2012, 2013 and 2014 Georgia Bulldogs recruiting classes each got boosts at Friday's Dawg Night, with the upcoming crop receiving the most potent boost. Jacksonville OT John Theus, brother of 2010 Dawg Night commit Nathan Theus, became the first five-star to commit to UGA for next season.
According to Rivals, Theus is the second-ranked tackle in the nation and the seventh-ranked player overall. As you'd expect, he already had offers from a couple dozen schools. Among players who've already committed, he's ranked behind only Florida State commit Mario Edwards.
The Dawgs also picked up four commits for future classes -- 2013 WR Tramel Terry, QB Brice Ramsey and RB Derrick Henry plus 2014 RB Stanley Williams. Gentry Estes has quick writeups and reactions on each.
Considering the transition Georgia has seen along its offensive line this offseason, from the graduation of Clint Boling to injuries and transfers and the onboarding of new position coach Will Friend, Theus could have a chance to make a mark soon. Adding Theus' name to the list also boosts Georgia's standing in the eyes of other targets, who may find themselves agreeing with the blue chipper that Mark Richt's seat isn't quite as hot as we've been told.
